Why doesn't the US split into a republican country and a democrat country?

Means people would always have who they voted for in power.

Because there are literally democrats and republicans in every state and county. They would be forced to move.

What if they are republican and like where they live in California?

Or what if a democrat in Kentucky doesn’t want to move away from her girlfriend lover?

They don't have to move. They can just follow different laws than others, like how people follow different religions

Yeah they could easily do that. They do that already with religion. For example Muslims have a rule not to eat pork but Christians can eat it just fine

Because the divide is more urban / rural than geographic. Urban areas in Republican states vote Democratic: Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso in Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham in North Carolina;

I'd like that, but it would make the borders really messy. The Conservative ones would be fine because they're all connected, but the Democrat ones are all over the place

The only thing even dumber and more extremist than a two-party system is a one-party system.

Because both parties live in all states. The cities would starve if that happened or food would get a lot more expensive in cities. Rural America needs very little from cities aka blue areas.

If rural America needs little from cities then that's all the more reason to split off and stop subsidising the cities
