Is America just not ready for a female president?

I’m disappointed although I’m not gonna complain about the results, but it just seems like America just can’t have a female president for some reason

This has nothing to do w her gender. It has to do w her ignorance. Her not being able to answer simple policy questions. Continuously blaming Trump for everything. My first year voting. I read a lot of articles, watched videos of both candidates, attended a Kamala rally as well as a Trump rally. She said nothing to convince me to vote for her. All she concentrated on was abortion. Then she tried to pander to black men, which was pathetic by saying she’d legalize marijuana for black men as well as give them loans. Then they sent out Obama who basically called black men misogynist cause he thinks they just don’t want a female over them. Sunny Hosten from the view called Latino men as well as black men misogynist. She called black men crazy for voting for Trump. I live on the border, we see a lot of what goes on. The Democratic Party said they need to look into why a large amount of people voted for Trump. You don’t need to. People are concerned about finances, the border, etc. Now the democrats are blaming each other, even blaming Biden for her loss. I don’t understand how people, especially women can say men just don’t want a female president. Yes because we all hate our moms, our sisters, aunts, wives, girlfriends, etc. Hilary Clinton was a crook herself. Why would we vote for her? Now Kamala who basically blamed everything on Trump when she didn’t want to answer a question directly. Many of us have men over us in the work force, including me. Doesn’t bother me. I don’t see how women are blaming men for this when the population of the US is more women than men. For some reason democrats aren’t blaming all the women for voting for Trump. Amazing how that works. Those of us who voted for Trump didn’t want men playing in women’s sports like democrats. We didn’t want men who identify as women going into female restrooms because believe it or not a lot of us have daughters who love them as well as wives, etc, etc. Then you have the lgbtq+ community freaking out, but they failed to realize Trump was the first president to appoint an openly gay person into a cabinet position. They also fail to realize that the one president that a lot of people seemed to love, Obama said that marriage was between a man and a woman. His wife said the same. He also deported the most illegals in his 8 years as president. No one called him racist. But now that Trump is planning on doing the same now he’s a racist. I will vote for a female one day when the right one comes along as will a lot of men.

Sure we are, collectively- we just need a competent one. Kamala was a literal diversity hire whose hypocritical bigotry was exposed to the world during the 2020 primaries; she was SUPPOSED to slink off to obscurity and shame, and probably would've, but then Biden called her back because she had the right combination of skin color and chromosomes. If anyone becomes less willing to vote for you, THAT PERSON isn't ready for a female President- but the same is true if they become more willing to vote for you.

Funnily enough, the woman who exposed her- Tulsi Gabbard- would've been just fine. A moderate who was more concerned with healing the political rift in the country than advancing the cause of her party, a soldier who wanted to end the Forever Wars, a leader who saw repairing our crumbling infrastructure as more important than helping angry Asians blow each other up OR helping angry Europeans blow each other up. And if you're bigoted enough to care about it, she's also a woman of mixed ethnicity. And kind of an idiot on nuclear power, but hey, you can't have everything. I'm not saying she WOULD have been a good President; I simply don't know. But all the pieces were there to be a skilled, compassionate, and effective leader.

Unfortunately, she was seen by the public as far too young (38 at the time, which would've made her the youngest President by a fair few years), and by the Democrat-aligned media as far too out of step with DNC ideas.

Any woman could've run and she wouldn't have been elected. I've literally heard guys say that they'd never vote for any woman because get this... they think we would all be far too emotional to run a country. Sexist views like that are why sadly. I honestly believe Biden even being senile would've been closer in the election, just being a man.

So no this country isn't ready yet. Now it's gonna be a loooong time before it's even a possibility I'm afraid.

I don’t think it helped. America has a horrendous personal character/morals/priorities problem to even CONSIDER Trump, let alone vote him in, even in the popular vote. That’s the real problem. And that FoxNews and the like have convinced Americans that a whole bunch of fabricated problems are actually real and rampant. People are dumb, and people are selfish. That’s the sad lesson we learned tonight, and I don’t know how we repair it. We’re a low-quality population, too immature to handle the responsibility given to us, simple as that.

Harris' loss had nothing to do with her gender, and everything to do with her being a horrible candidate with zero qualifications who literally has done nothing over the last four years. Most men would gladly vote for a good female candidate over a lesser male candidate.

Harris was only selected as Biden's running mate BECAUSE she was a woman of color. Everyone knew that. Many were willing to overlook that in this election BECAUSE she was a woman of color, which is the only sexism in all of this. Only 53% of woman voted for Harris, and most ONLY because she is a woman. That's the sexism here.

The better candidate won on Tuesday, and that says a lot considering what an asshole Trump is. The DNC needs to pull their heads out of their asses.

It isn't the fact that we aren't ready for one, it has to do with who the candidate is and their policy. The two that we had as nominees ran and America didn't think either of them were the ones for the job at the end of the day. That is it.

I can think of a couple that could potentially be the nominee down the line, but we will have to wait and see.

I firmly believe that Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris were both terrible candidates with terrible positions on the issues. But I don't think they were terrible candidates because of their sex.

The problem wasn't that Harris is a woman, the problem was she's a weak candidate and terrible campaigner. Most voters vote based on policy and issues, not race and gender. When Biden dropped out, I said handing the nomination to Harris was a big mistake that would result in a Trump victory. Before Trump picked JD Vance, my X feed was full of Trump supporters encouraging him to choose Tulsi Gabbard who is a woman of color.
