The left did this to them selves. If they spent less time attacking their opponents, and more time on policy, they would have had a better outcome. But what do you expect from the left, they are all toddlers throwing a temper tantrum, not rational thinking adults..

Apart from the obvious of determining the US gov't, I think your election has had global significance in bringing machine politics to heel in a thorough rejection of apparatchik politics. This election showed that an obviously demented person could not hope to win election nor could an obviously inadequate candidate succeed. Obviously the political machine was going to run the state through a thinly veiled pretense of an elected president.
The Global Left replicates what has worked globally. So if un-elected apparatchiks had won in the US election it would have been replicated globally. Once again America has saved the world's bacon.

In my own country (Australia) we gave our woke left gov't a bloody good kicking last year at a referendum. That was sweet. But I'd have to say your kicking of the Left is even sweeter. It will have ramifications internationally. XY chromosomes in XX sports is clearly going to plummet.

I expected Kamala to win but I was shocked to see Trump winning. Well, not so shocked. It’s hard to believe that men want to actually see intelligent women of color succeed.

That is the very reason Democrats lost and that still fail to see - it. Voters do not care wheather Trump is a felon or not. Voters care about bad economy, high inflation and high illegal immigration. Harris didn't address these issues at all, instead hammering that Trump is a fascist all the time, while voters wanted solutions.
for the US it is the best system out there. Is it perfect, probably not, but at least we have a vote or a say in what happens. And we can complain about it all we want to and not get shot or thrown in jail. (providing it is done legally.) This system was figured out a long time ago, but people who did a damn good job of figuring it out. Who knew what the future would hold way back then. As to celebrities, they are pretty much to only ones that think their opinion matters. Just because someone can sing or act does not make them an expert on politics, and by the resounding margin of victory of the popular vote in this last election it shows. While the celebs egos may be bruised a bit, I'm sure they will be fie. If not there are planes leaving this country for any other country that they think will suit the better, but yet here they stay. Go figure.
My answer will be nonpolitical as I'm referring equally to both major parties. First, I think the election cycle is WAY too long. Election fatigue hits months before election day. After a short time the focus shifts from discussing issues to scouring the opponent's last spoken words to see if they can be used against them. It's exhausting to follow the news at all as it's all about tearing down the opponent. The debates have become somewhat pointless. I'd like to see more answers that match the questions being asked. Instead, we get a quick acknowledgement of the question followed by a 2 minute speech about whatever they wanted to talk about. Meaningful questions with well-explained answers would be so much better than the speeches and sound bytes. As far as celebrities, I realize that they influence some people's choices but I think it's much more important for people to choose a candidate whose own words and ideas make you confident in their ability to lead the country.
My twitter is blowing up with upset folks... the suicide line is blowing up... i feel all the more correct to make my decision. And i lost a friend over it. Just because I'd rather sit on the porch and watch what the world will do... and the world did what it does to everyone.

Anyone who is "Woke", identify as something other than a male or female human has severe mental issues and should be sent for a mental evaluation. @goldfinch23 we don’t elect Washington’s or Lincoln’s anymore. We gave women and minorities and those who own no property the right to vote. Emotion and feelings replaced rational thought. People who have absolutely no stake in the system and pay no taxes now can dictate how much the “rich” should pay. Absolutely pathetic. Trump supporters have often broken with him, particularly concerning the covid vaccine that he lauds. He is far from a cult leader — he simply speaks to the concerns that real Americans have had for years. Whether he will properly address those is another matter.
If you want to see something more closely resembling a cult leader, look to Obama — a man without much accomplishment but whose followers believed was a second coming of Christ. In his 8 years, he thoroughly did nothing but denigrate our country and examine everything through the lens of race. Obama is what got us Trump.
Yes, I do believe Trump is a rapist. He was found liable for it. I also believe he assaulted many other women over his life and had sex with underage girls.
Critical thinking skills are something that all people should possess. I look at facts from credible sources and make an informed decision. I choose not to listen to certain sources on the far right, I feel that their reporting is biased and or non factual.
Obama is a Christian, one aspect of the man I don’t care for. I’m also aware that some people he associates with in his church circles are a bit suspicious.
Political violence is a hallmark of the MAGA. I’m just a peaceful middle aged man from North Dakota. A man who only loves one woman, loves his kids and works hard to provide. I guess I’m the kinda guy that disproves everything MAGA thinks they know about liberal men.
