The recent election has me as well as a lot of other people realizing we live in a sexist nation. No one seems to care about women and see us as nothing more than property to own, or sex toys. It makes me wonder if sexism and misogyny will truly disappear.

The candidate who built her campaign on attacking an entire gender lost, and you expect empathy because it didn't get her votes? And then you claim to be trying to not be political?

Let us consider this calmly and rationally. Women, under Republican-lead governments, are at somewhat greater risk of having their reproductive rights restricted. This upsets some of them, which is reasonable. They claim this disadvantages them, and is even a form of oppression, which is not reasonable at all. I ask you to pause, fight the stereotype of lacking empathy and consider this from our point of view.

I am a male human, and consequently, have no reproductive rights to threaten. Anywhere. If a woman gives birth to a child whose genetic makeup matches mine, I can be placed on the hook for twenty years' worth of child support payments, based on the money I'm making at the time- and thanks to the Brady amendment, those payments can't be reduced. That means if my income goes down and I can't pay, I go to jail. If I lose my job and can't pay, I go to jail. If I get laid off and can't pay, I go to jail. If the child is not mine, but the courts determine it's "close enough", I have to pay. If she gets pregnant as a result of raping me, I have to pay. Note that these payments do not in any way entitle me to any rights regarding, or even contact with, the child; I don't get to be a parent, just a wallet.

What you are threatened with is not oppression; it's equality.

Or, rather, equality on THAT issue. You, as women, do not face legally accepted genital mutilation as an infant, or legal discrimination in employment, housing, and college admissions, or open social acceptance of people calling for your entire gender to be murdered, simply because you ARE that gender. And then there's the biog one: a more major concern for most people is the looming possibility of war. We face being forced into battle thralldom and sent off to kill and die at the whim of the oligarchs and media overlords influencing our leaders from the shadows; a threat so severe that before the 19th Amendment was ratified, most women opposed being given the right to vote because they feared that risk would come with it. It didn't.

You are not, based on your sex, disadvantaged; you are privileged, and in no way is that better demonstrated than the fact that you treat being taken down a single theoretical peg as being made the victim.

So, no, you are not "rightfully" upset or scared, any more than angry racists in the 50's were about having to share their schools and water fountains with black people. Nor is your blatant disrespect undone by saying you don't have "a right to be blatantly disrespectful or to treat you totally unfairly". You come across like a millionaire standing in a homeless shelter and complaining about capital gains taxes. Do those taxes exist? Yes. Do they suck to have to pay? Yes. Is your playing the victim card among people who can barely keep body and soul together insulting, egotistical and cruel? Absolutely.

The question is, now that this has been explained to you, whether you'll reflect on how you come across, and maybe muster some empathy for those who actually ARE disadvantaged- or whether you'll dive deeper in the well of ignoring reality in the name of your own self-righteous victimhood worship. Choose wisely.

As I said- no. It sucks. You can very reasonably object to it, and seek political help in doing so. But playing the victim card to compel assistance from people who have it far worse isn't going to win you any sympathy, particularly when what has you so concerned is the election of a man who SUPPORTS abortion rights and agrees with the Constitutionally correct decision that this isn't a matter for the federal government.

The institutional security of your legal supremacy gets taken down a notch. We have angry lunatics calling for our genocide while masses of women applaud their message. And you claim YOU are the victims of hatred.

If you want support, you're going to have to start thinking of men as equals. GENUINE equals. Let this be a lesson to you in how important that is, and be grateful that it didn't come at a price higher than hurt feelings.

The only misogyny in all of this is among the people who say Americans wouldn't vote for Harris because she's a woman. Democrats thrive on the illusion of sexism and racism, so they foster it and manufacture it for their benefit. You're just being their tool.

Give Americans a good female candidate and they will vote for her. There are so many good female candidates, but democrats chose Harris? WTF were they thinking? I don’t believe sexism, racism, and ignorance will truly go away.

People saw what happened the first time we allowed that disaster in the door and what came after. They said “is better than a young, nonwhite woman”. Now people are regretting that decision day in and day out, though I don’t believe it is fully because it was she’s a woman / she’s not white.

A lot of it could be to Blue Districts that didn’t get the tens of thousands that were energized in 2020 which would’ve helped to carry the election, the 2020 was close by 10,000 votes in some states, even 5,000 in others I think so we knew this election would be close… The Left needs to figure out how to get their messaging across and tell people “these elections will be close and you need to show up and vote, not just assume you’ll win either way”.

Sexism, racism, and ignorance comes a long way…. Reminder that Trump lost 2020 74 million then gained to 78 million in 2024. The Democrats need to strengthen their numbers and do better than 2020 if they want to secure the next election which is more difficult with the Married Name might hinder women’s votes thanks to Republican control sabotaging people’s rights to vote.

The election was not about misogyny or sexism. It was about a completely incompetent person who had nothing to say, nothing. She would not and could not answer a single question about any issue from the day she became the candidate until election day. If there wasn't a teleprompter there, she couldn't even talk.

If there had been a strong, intelligent woman such as Tulsi Gabbard or Candace Owens or Tomi Lahren, we would have voted for them in a second.
