Why don't Democrats run moderate candidates in red districts?

My question is: why do Democrats think running such campaign would help win in a state that voted 70% red?

There are of course MAGA Republicans running in deep blue states as well (I can think of Dan Cox in Maryland in 2022) but I get the impression than Republicans run more moderate candidates in hard races, than Democrats do.

All they do is run diet coke republicans that is why they lose. Nobody wants the diet coke republican they want the real republican. The Democrats have 0 identity. They use to win elections because they promised things like Medicare for and they never delivered on any of there promises and just stuck to being moderate or centrist.

Now the dems are turning against Trans genderism. All they do is copy the Republicans because democrats know nobody wants their silly pronoun trans gender BS in their schools or work place. They pretty much turned into Republican light because they are spinless. I would respect them more if they weren't such spinless cowards.

It's good that Trump won four mores years of that BS would have been awful.

The far left runs the Democrat party and the extremists are the masters at controlling others by name calling, shaming, cancel culture, etc., and the moderates have caved to the extremists.

After the election, the far left is not asking "how did we get it wrong?" Instead, they are asking, 'why are the American people too stupid to listen to us?"

No, I think as long as Trump is around, their hatred for him will unify them, and they will be blind to how the average voted responds to their hate. So they will go through at least one more election cycle - 2026 - before they consider any need for change.
