Do you believe one can truly climb the social ladder?

In today’s world, we often hear stories of “self-made” individuals who rise from humble beginnings to wealth and success. These stories make us wonder if, in modern times, it’s truly possible to climb the social ladder. While achieving financial success is one thing, social acceptance seems to be another challenge entirely. There’s a difference between being rich and being welcomed into the highest circles of society, where influence and legacy often matter as much as money.

So, my question is: can someone who’s earned their way up, rather than being born into privilege, truly become part of this world? Or are there unspoken barriers that keep “high society” exclusive, regardless of one’s accomplishments?

You're confused.

Stories are just that : stories. They are told to draw in and/or entertain. They are never going to tell the whole reality of the situation.

As for the "social ladder," everyone is climbing\falling down it, even you. Every day you are either doing better or worse. Being "rich" or "poor" is largely meaningless in social circles as some rich people have terrible lives and some poor people have enriched and excellent lives. Sitting crying in your Ferrari isn't any "better" than sitting crying on a street corner - regardless of the bullshit those "guru's" try and peddle.

Hence the important thing is not to be "crying" at all - and to be as progressive as you can handle. Not to "show off" to others, but to keep yourself on the right path.

I can't text you because the emotional little girl blocked me so I'll send it here, stop trying to son me, you are still figuring yourself out and I have had a completely different life and it shows by how you responded to me I don't like "the ride" and I understand you are a couple years older but that doesn't mean nothing without true wisdom. It's quite an objectifying take but the elite are valued as much as what they sell themselves to be in high society in my opinion. I think you can climb the ladder, with the right ingredients. The gift of the gab, connections, opportunity, some wealth to begin with, and something to get started or keep going with.
I think other things like looks and talents are somewhat optional unless they're your main "selling point".

Yes I have. I came from a nothing family… beyond porvetu. Made it. Saw n met with the top 1% social elites. Fell all the way down. Had to start over. I did. Back to top 1% now.
I have the wealth and choice to be with them. But I have choice not to.
