Yes and no, but it's also ruined men if it's ruined women. Unrealistic expectations in females, unrealistic expectations in the gym, finance, jealousy issues, fuck for both genders just a flat out waste of time sometimes. Women have an unrealistic expectation that if a guy is nice to them and F them, that they can get him as a husband or SO. Not so. These guys know that they can get the ladies and will do so for a very long time. Then they might settle down, with someone a little younger.

It was the same before social media as women had crush on actor, singer and football player. ... I don'y see how social media changed any of it, when I was a teen all girls were into Neymar and Griezmann and they football player not any social media dude. So the requirement / expectation in my opinion didn't changed much.

Women want you to have social media so that they can talk to you safely, it's not safe to give people your phone number as if the guy is a stalker or crazy he'll use it against you. So people use Instagram or snap to communicate nothing wrong with it, also nothing hard t create an Instagram count to talk to women you're interested to date.

As a teen I talked to Japanese and Korean people and they asked me to download Line to make it easier so I did, like there's truly nothing hard in downloading an app to talk to someone you're interested in.

Too majority of women don't care about likes and follow, in France you don't know the amount of young people mocking people that are obsessed with social media they're called "pouffe" here and they're really not liked at all but they only represent a tiny minority.

Before there was social media, nobody had a reason to stop talking or seeing someone because there was no social media to have.
You're rationalizing having social media by saying "just create one and download the app", disregarding the implications it carries using and having it (data collection, no privacy and ads). This is little different from saying "just try my drugs. It'll make you feel like walking on the clouds".
Almost Nobody cares about privacy and mass surveillance and having their data taken and sold to the dark web.

I don't think it has helped but a vast number grow up without a father and are fed propaganda from an early age too. I suspect all of this is fixable in a generation but some things need to change if we want our countries to prosper. But first we need to admit there are problems and that's a big step from where we are.
