Because of social media, the average woman now gets a lot of attention from all kinds of different men including compliments from other women. Because of that, she now thinks she's an 8 or 9 and because of this attention & validation she feels entitled to a high value man

its the exact opposite, with social media more people suffer from low self esteem and think they are ugly because they can't reach the impossible beauty standards

I can't read the comments.

But there are two different sides.

1. how you, or that person, sees themselves.

2. how other comments on her appearance, both online and offline.

Those are connected, but espacially online, you can simply delete comments and you will only delete those who you don't agree with, so maybe if you see one or two nice comments, she may have deleted thousand hatefull ones. (she or the algorithm).

And its only one example. Empirical data shows an increase of wishes for plastic surgery, eating disorders, depression, low self esteem, ... espacially in young girls with the use of social media.
