Is it really so shocking to trump supporters that their friends and relatives no longer want them in their lives?

I'm seriously thinking of dropping this one friend of mine and i've blocked a bunch of trump supporters on here. Yes there ARE consequences to you supporting a fascist! Losing a friend or a family while harsh is actually just the tip of this iceberg.

You support this atrocious excuse of a human being even after everything you've seen of him and heard him say. you voted for him and got us into this mess. and if you truly think we are about to experience a 'golden age' or something you are in for a rude awakening. particularly if you aren't a white upper class male. women, latinos, black people, if you live in red states your lives are about to be much harder. but i know many won't listen to me here so ill just let you experience it first time. If they realized it mattered so much to so many people (and why), they probably would not have voted that way to begin with. I am not surprised that they are surprised, they are constantly surprised it seems.

Not Trump related. However I can see this disruption of the social fabric you're referring to, with conspiracy seekers. It's the same concept, it's being presented with people we can't talk with anymore. It makes conversations turning into debates, but it's not really a feasible debate because someone wants to impose their opinion as truth, against common knowledge, and without legitimacy to do so. Arguing with this is exhausting, many of us have tried, it's terribly unproductive. So we grow tired, we part ways to solve the unsolvable.

The implications are depressing when I generalize this effect, and I know I can generalize, as it's a social phenomenon, be it Trump related or not. At the end of the day, I have no solutions to look at, and I'm not even sure to understand all the causes of this phenomenon. And even if I did, it would not solve the interpersonal issue, occurring over and over.
