Thoughts On Trump Picking Marco Rubio As His Secretary of State?

So it has been reported that Trump is considering giving the position to Florida senator Marco Rubio. Due to discussion about Rubio being a hawk on foreign policies most of his supporters and team are oppose of the decision. Also, those that are on the Trump team as well as his supporters due to Rubio past tweet about Trump from 2016. What are your opinions on Trump's pick for the secretary of state, did he make the right choice or do you all wish he had picked someone else besides Rubio.

Also, for those that do not know what hawk is, here is the political term definition:

My mom thinks he's a good pick. Me personally, I would've preferred Rand Paul. I've always loved his views on foreign policy, but my mom says he isn't as quick witted and tough like Rubio.

Of all the picks announced so far, Rubio is the one that I think is least exciting/interesting, which is kind of unfortunate since the Secretary of State is generally the most important cabinet position. Basically everyone else is a hard-charger who will probably enter the front doors with bulldozers and wrecking balls on day one, but Rubio is a much more typical politician with a fairly finger-in-the-wind record, not really ingratiated with the swamp or the populists. He's clearly the odd man out as of right now.

Yes. Hillary Clinton had significant foreign policy experience prior to becoming Secretary of State in 2009:

As First Lady from 1993-2001, Clinton was involved in foreign policy discussions and traveled extensively abroad, advocating for human rights, democracy and civil society. She visited over 80 countries as First Lady.

As a U. S. Senator from New York from 2001-2009, Clinton served on the Senate Armed Services Committee for six years. This gave her exposure to military and national security issues.

During her time in the Senate, Clinton voted in favor of the Iraq War authorization in 2002, a decision she later said was a mistake. She also supported U. S. intervention in Afghanistan.

Rubio has bipartisan support and enough foreign policy experience to handle the job. He also makes sense if more attention is to be paid to relations with other countries in the Americas.

He has been an effective leader so he should do fine. Much better than what we have now. Hopefully the one to replace him in the senate will help Trump with his agenda.
