What is your opinion on underage females sleeping with older guys and facing the same repercussions as men?

in our state they are thinking about proposing this law. law enforcement officials voiced their opinions on runaway teens with older men, voluntarily. However, most of them are using the term "rape" deceitfully. Amber alerts have been put out for missing kids, but are found to be with older men. parents are providing false information escalating amber alerts. It has created racial discussions in the community. Such as why an amber alert wasn't issued for one race, but not the other race. law enforcement just list them as missing and endangered now. So many of these cases are frequently that officials unsure how to proceed. they are not sure who is actually abducted or who is actually with their man. Amber alert isn't to be played with. Amber mom worked so hard to get this alert for the memory of her daughter. There are constant news articles of underage girls being found with older men. Order of protections are issued, and the girl is found with the same man, once more.

I think it was but its been crazy lately. this one underage girl lied on the guy about him raping her and was killed. it wasn't until after he was killed that she admitted to lying about it

The solution is still getting women full agency of their lifes. From there men are even safer aswell. Win win.

They're not lying neither using the laws as the man in those scenario would always be in the wrong, you don't sleep with underage girl if not that's rape it doesn't matter if the girl consented or not it's rape regardless of if she wanted it or not since she's too young to have the age to consent.

I agree but its complete dividing in the state because we have human trafficking, and so much more going on. then we have underage girls who using the laws as a way to set men up.

They are not! And any guy who gets set up is a pedophile who deserves to go to jail. They wouldn’t fall for it if they weren’t attracted to underage girls and willing to act on that attraction even though they know it’s against the law.

it is very divided between the state, communities, and other officials. they meet these men off the internet or else place, have sex with them, or whatever. in my opinion, these are young girls and older men. I think better parenting needs to be the law if anything smh I feel something must be going on at home for them. men know they not suppose to be messing with underage girls period

I also think that parents should stop being dishonest because it creates a blur in how law enforcement respond. we had a parent not long ago had law enforcement officials all across the country looking for her kids. turned out she knew what kind of vehicle, their were witnesses, and people instead voluntarily didn't say anything. the mom even found the phone and online account. she still decided to be dishonest. it creates a blur when too many factors play into it. more needs to be done about kids running away and also what can be done for older men speaking to underage girls. its common sense other than just the law.

Maybe. And I don't know why the mom would lie. But regardless, I don’t think underage kids of any gender should be prosecuted for being in a sexual relationship with an adult. That’s my answer to your question.

The problem is they moved the age too high to 18. Meaning a 16 year old girl living with her 20 year old boyfriend is dragged back to her abusive parents.

Here in CAlifornia, amber lert are almost always only issued when divorced fathers abduct their own children who they have been prevented from seeing by vindictive ex-wives.
