Are you fatigued by the gender wars?

Who else is simply tired of hearing about "misogyny" and "misandry" and "sexism"? Why can't men and women stop blaming each other for being men and women or the traits therein? I see the discussion is heavily one-sided too. Even though the media doesn't say it, women are as guilty as men are of abusing or mocking the other gender.

One side in a conflict just feeds into the other side too. That will continue as long as we don't learn this lesson.

You're not wrong.

But here's the problem. One political party in the US benefits from division and the illusion that proponents of the other party are all sexist, so they manufacture sexism to keep a particular gender angry and hateful toward the other.

The recent election signaled hope that that one gender has begun to see through the lies and hateful rhetoric. I'm encouraged that the next four years will be better in this regard, in spite of silly but short-lived phenomena like 4B.

Having said that, as long as an entire political party continues to turn their backs on, and monger hate toward one gender, and the other gender continues to gobble up and internalize that hatred, the other gender will continue growing angrier day by day.

A lot of the conversation involves decentering men from the lives of women. Obviously men don’t want to hear that.
