Russia lives in a utopia.
Russia is at war with NATO but NATO is not at war with Russia, and in this situation Russia has not even managed to hit a single target on NATO territory.
And NATO, without launching missiles from NATO territory and without declaring war on Russia, managed to hit even the capital Moscow through Ukraine. (This text could be used extremely strongly in Russia's narrative).
But NATO only supports Ukraine's cause of independence, sovereignty and the freedom to decide its own future.
I don't understand why NATO should not get involved with any help just because Ukraine is not a NATO member. If Ukraine wants to join, and the only ones who are against it are the Russians, it doesn't seem right to me.
If we are still willing to live in a world where the powerful decide the fate of others through blackmail, then why do countries still exist?

Russia is a large, poor and underdeveloped country, which is aware of its military and economic handicap compared to NATO, and this inability to ever recover this handicap is what scares the Russian oligarchy.
Also, the fear of having "democracy" increasingly close to autocracy is another reason why Russia does not want to accept "NATO, the West", because Russia is a very large country and is not like North Korea to be able to have absolute control. Ordinary Russians who do not support the regime could, at any time, revolt and tear the corrupt country and its oligarchs to pieces. And for these oligarchs, it is the nightmare of their lives to end like Ceausescu, Saddam Hussein, Qaddafi, Tsar Nicholas II and many others who in history had power and ended up in blood and mud.

Russian leaders are not interested in the people, they only want to have slaves who, through taxes, will serve them unconditionally and even with their lives and those of their children.
It seems exaggerated and extreme and unrealistic, but these are the actions that are implemented in Russia:
- incorporation and sending poorly trained diners to the front
- not equipping soldiers with appropriate equipment
- selecting prisoners with long sentences for the military regime in exchange for regaining freedom (Life for Freedom or vice versa) [rapists, thieves, criminals, psychopaths are sent to the front to do what they like in order to regain their freedom and continue to do the same in Russian civil society]
- liquidating the opposition and sending it to the front line to fight against their beliefs and end up either at the hands of Ukrainians or their own Russian compatriots.

The Democrats are going to make a complete shit show for the Republicans to try and fix before the turnover. Then everything bad that happens will be blamed on Republicans by the leftist-controlled media.

They've been using these tactics since 2016 and it just makes everything worse. Too snobbish to realize why they're getting voted out of everything. When they had all the power nothing good came of it. Now the Republicans have all the power soon... I have my fingers crossed they want some good things to happen.

But I'll believe it when I see it. With Biden, the outcome was predictable... this time, I do have some hope. I just hope they don't shit all over everything before they leave out of spite. This missle escalation just looks like they're trying to shit on everything, so I don't have much hope that they won't shit on everything.
