There seem to be some controversy on who was responsible for world War 2

Ww2 was in a lot of ways a continuation of ww1. A lot Germans espicially ex German soldiers felt they had been stabbed in the back by German "weimar" politicians (who most happened to be Jews) when no enemy soldier had yet stepped foot on German soil. Germans felt badly treated by the treaty of versatile with much German land given away especially old prussia just given to Poland. Then came the great depression triggered by the 1929 Wallstreet crash (Wallstreet bankers who were mostly jews) and the weimar government (mostly jews) were unable to deal with it except by printing more money causing massive inflation, of course the wealthy were mostly insulated from inflation (mostly jews). Then there was communism which jews were prominently involved in. Then they felt powerless and bullied by the French and poles.
So the nazis when they got into power the nazis goals were to strengthen Germany's military, insulate the German economy from the outside world, make Germany less dependent on foreign resources, conqueror and empire like Britain or America or France had.
Really you could argue that Britain and France started ww2 because they chose to declare war on Germany for taking back German territory they had given to Poland, the USSR also invaded Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and Lativia as well as Finland and neither France or Britain declared war on the USSR. Britain and France invaded Norway. Holland and Belgium wanted no part of Britain and France's war. After ww2 Britain and France didn't declare war on the soviet union.
America manipulated Japan into attacking the US because they needed justification for war.

WW1 would then result in the losing countries being forced to pay "reparations" and completely tank their economies and eventually those countries got sick and tired of paying "reparations" so hence the backlash which was WW2.
in all honesty the western countries during WW1 were on the wrong side of history because we allied with the guy who killed Archduke Ferdinand.

Funny, but in reality it was the supporters of the punitive Treaty of Versailles. Took Germany's coal mines and some large industrial areas, and then after crippling them economically demanded they pay the current equivalent of $450B in damages. What could be expected other than a bitter, pissed off people, ripe for manipulation by a demagogue?

Actually, Donald Trump IS responsible for World War II. Because his grandfather was an immigrant from Germany. And white people are responsible for the sins of their ancestors. (Even though the Drumpf family came to America in 1885.)
