I really hope they aren't what I think they are (cities in which no authority can touch illegal immigrants?) And let me guess it's a political move from the liberal left. What is with these people and this bizzare, deep rooted need to create absolute chaos and anarchy. How absurd is it to try and tell an official governmental authority to "get out", as if they have any right to say so as immigrants. The blatant disrespect.

Yes, they're cities that refuse cooperation with the federal government in enforcing immigration law. They consist exclusively of those governed by Democrats, like Los Angeles.

State rights over federal power over reach.

The whole point of sanctuary cities is that federal government agencies REQUEST help. Sanctuary city default policy is to deny the request. From there, the city is safer with the inhabitants reporting crimes without fear of repercussions of federal laws.

My son got murdered. The city police helps me. Sanctuary city would focus on murderer. Non sanctuary city would rat me out as an illegal immigrant, and now a murderer is an after thought.

If the local government is asking for help in cooperation, i see no harm in tossing it up the chain of command as it should be. If the highest up is making demands of lower ranks, it's got to be extra serious and not some random bullshit. Which illegal immigration is on paper the same as hay walking so random bullshit

State rights don't mean shit over events like this, we fought a civil war over the westward expansion of slavery because the South knew when enough Western territories weren't slave States they'd be screwed by "democracy" and unable to stop abolition. The south technically exercises state rights and how did the federal government respond?

Letting illegals in who are then felons is not a state right. The federal government can easily cut all federal funding to certain places and the courts can't stop it, we already do it with highway funding and seatbelts, as well as many other things.

Cities also don't represent state rights, realistically these cities will make raids easier. Illegals have 0 rights here and should be shot at, at the border because it's too dangerous to allow any more criminals in but the USA is run by rich cowards and globalists.
