Why was California the first state to legalize no fault divorce and why did New York legalize it last?

I believe that’s part of the reason San Francisco, and Los Angeles, have more problems with homelessness, drug addiction, and crime, than NYC. New York is still better than a lot of California with a lot of social issues even though both are the same politically. I think most problems in California have to do with kicking the father out of house, the first in the country. Outside of the Soviet Union, California US state was the first place in the world to legalize no fault divorce true fact. The American state of California shows the reality of divorce, and the breakdown of the nuclear family, in the long term, so before you judge the state in 10-30 years your state will look like California too.

Before people realized how crazy California truly was they often led the way.

Now they are a poster child of failed state policies thanks to some of those ideas and we run away from them.

Um, no. California has more problems with homelessness and drug addiction given the weather and proximity to drug corridors from Central/South America and Asia. New York was last given the relative strength of the Catholic Church

California has always been a rebel state, starting movements and going against federal regulations and the other 49 states
