Why do some Californians want to succeed from the state instead of making it better?

I believe this is the best state in the country. We have to fight against no fault divorce, poverty, taxes, free speech restrictions, and crime. Californians should never give up, and never back down. We should fight as our place in the biggest economy in the United States.

There's not much individual Californian's can do to change the state for the better besides just voting appropriately. Fortunately, a lot more Californian's than usual did in this election. But so much damage has already been done in the state that it will take many years, probably decades, to make California a good place to live again, and I don't have that time. My wife and I want to have a family, and California is the last place we would want to raise kids right now. I grew up there but left six years ago and never looked back. I couldn't take the liberal bullshit anymore. When I go back to visit family I am always reminded of why I left. I still love the place, but not the people and the politics. It is truly paradise lost.

At some point when the other side is ignoring you, you got to recognize the fight for fair treatment or respect for your different circumstances is lost.

Much of California would indeed be better off as part of her neighboring states or as her own state, separate from the bay area.

I have never been to California but I live in another state which is almost as bad. High real estate costs, sky high taxes on everything, even taxes on taxes. Lots of crime, homelessness, drug addicts living in the streets, illegal aliens, and crumbling infrastructure. If I could get my wife to go I would move to Florida tomorrow,
