Will you believe it if the new DOJ uncovers evidence that the Jan 6th riot was a democrat set-up?

Question

There are thousands of hours of video that shows Capitol Police opening doors to the Capitol, inviting protesters inside and having selfies taken with them, police firing on protesters outside and the shooting of Ashlee Babbitt. The so called Jan 6th Committee will have to testify under oath and the DOJ will get to the bottom of what really happened that day.

Will the democrats among us admit that it was a setup or will they cling to the fantasy that the government was going to be overthrown by a couple of people armed with flagpoles?

With Nancy refusing to accept the National Guard that Trump offered. Ebbs on tape inciting people to go to the capitol. Then not charged with anything. “Rioters” inside the capitol coming from behind the police line. Then joining the so called insurrection. The man changing shirts after the shooting. Just too many things that don’t pass the smell test!
I am sure that any of the most incriminating evidence has been misplaced!
So, no surprise. But I am not holding my breath!

There were agents provocateurs in the crowd. Some of them were FBI and other government employees.
I would love for the truth to be revealed and for those involved to be severely punished. But I doubt that will occur, just like the truth about the JFK assassination, 911, and so many other crimes will never be revealed.

I definitely want to find out what happened, yes. all those old documents need opened (if they weren't shredded already). Somebody better save all the data/documents/drives... but you can guarantee they are being destroyed right now.

If it is exposed the FBI was involved to a deeper level and there are other proseccutions, you know it was promoted.

If nothing comes of it... then you know it was just a riot and the right will cover their tracks.

From a non-American view I have mostly accepted the narrative portrayed in the medium. Only so much time to read all the material generated.

I have come to accept that most of the democrat portrayal of Trump has been a fraud.

The democrat campaign was too rabid. Loudly calling a person a Hitler and a Fascist doesn't make them so. A key moment for me was the dems taking action to keep RFK off the ballot then taking action to keep him on the ballot. That was legitimate but far to cynical for me.

So pretty much my view reversed from that ploy.

Wait... There was a riot? It looked like plain Americans waving American flags 🇺🇸 and taking pictures. I didn't notice the rioters dressed in black setting fires and smashing cars and windows. I thought the rioters were mostly in NY and Seattle.

Like for the left to have a reason to make sure Trump goes to jail and not run and again, well, now the case is about to get thrown out and he's most likely will be inaugurated. IF there is evidence, then I'll believe it. There won't be any, for the simple and obvious reason that they were all brought there by Trump, sent to the Capitol by Trump, and obviously nothing was going to be stopped by a peaceful protest outside the Capitol. As soon as he said to go home, they went home.

If he'd said it immediately and not three hours late, after it was clear it wasn't going to work, it might have been OK.

No more than I believe the conspiracies that the two assassination attempts were setup by the CIA, or FBI, or BLM, or LMNOQRST.

Are there actors in the background trying to make things happen? Sure, I can believe that; I will call them what I believe them to be though, fringe extremist groups (or individuals) trying to alter power by acts of violence. They may get assigned to a party, but I will not let them represent either party.

I doubt anything new will come of this now that Trump is back under the presidential immunity umbrella.

I will say to Trump’s credit that he stood by his statement that doing the same thing to Hilary would have been a misuse of the justice system. I hope he maintains this approach and stays more or less hands off with the courts.

I'd need to see some extremely compelling evidence to believe that. There's already a lot of proof that Dems agitated the mob on Jan 6. At minimum we already know that they did a bunch of extremely inflammatory shit with a blatant disregard for the possibility that things could get violent.

I think these people have largely proven themselves to be extremely arrogant and stupid. I don't think they have enough brain power to be malicious

Yes, they had motive on the basis of the 2020 summer riots all being on them. They had opportunity with Nancy in control of the capital police, and in a position to refuse the necessary security. Finally they had method with radical and democrat plants in the group.

That said what actually happened barely qualifies as a riot with none of them being armed and basically all of them just walking around peacefully and escorted.
