No, what should be done is let the robber take whatever he wants, he won't fire at the store owner because he no reason to.
Then the cops can find and arrest him, and insurance should cover what was stolen.
And if you say the cops won't catch him that seems like a problem of the cops right?

Not the fact the store owner didn't have a gun, which could of ended his life if he had risked it.
And yeah some criminals are really dumb and get caught off guard but in most cases the advantage goes to whomever was holding the gun directly at them first no?

I said yes. The problem with business owners having weapons. There are usually people in the store that are innocent and possibly in the line of fire.
As long as they are well trained and have the mental capacity to prevent collateral damage. I say anyone who commits armed crimes. Should expect to be dealt with accordingly.

Yes, there is so much crime that goes unpunished in this countries. The storekeepers should be allowed to defend their property. Three or 4 shootings s and the problem would be solved.

They are allowed to use a weapon in self defense. An armed robbery would certainly justify lethal force.
