I'm a registered Democrat and I think it's wrong. There's no accountability for rich people and politicians (and their families). He said he wouldn't interfere and he did. That said some people here have said they think people will pull what about to deflect.

I think if it were Trump and his son he would do the same thing. That said it really doesn't matter because that isn't the situation. If you don't think that's true you're being disingenuous. Again regardless I don't agree with Biden doing this and his explanation is lame. Just because most people in his situation don't get charged doesn't mean he shouldn't have been. I actually believe Hunter, in this case, not his laptop nonsense which turned into a nothing burger, should have been held highly accountable like the courts ruled.

It's disappointing that the rich and the powerful are all above the law. It is a deflection to say two things can be true.

Hunter's sentence should have stuck as any politician that is convicted in court by a jury of their peers. We all need to stop picking sides like a football team and admit when the folks we vote make mistakes, do the wrong thing, and get away with it all.

It's very sad. The message is the law only applies to us not them.

Hunter definitely got away with his crimes. If Joe committed crimes no one was able to produce evidence. If they had it they would have impeached him. We need to remember this to be objective. That said, I think I'm pretty consistent in saying that even though I voted for him, of evidence does exist, and they can indict him, gets in front of a jury, and he is convicted, I would say the same thing. He should be sentenced.

My concern is that if we don't like a person, and we're told by the news he's guilty, and things said by people we have evidence!, and it's never materialized, that's not enough to say, a person definitely committed crimes. I believe any man is susceptible to wrongdoing so I'm not going to say he's definitely innocent because I don't know.

I hope this makes sense. We can feel a person is bad, we can just dislike them for whatever reason, but the idea that a person is guilty just on that isn't enough. Hell I'd be the first one to say throw the guy in jail. I don't care if I voted for him.

My point is not to argue that the Biden's are innocent. Hunter definitely isn't because it went through the process. If folks really think Joe is guilty then why didn't the Republicans in charge find any evidence. They kept telling people they had it, democrats actually said then produce it publicly and they couldn't. If one day the evidence should arise, I will be right there with anyone saying prosecute the damn man. It has to be done correctly and I don't think everything is rigged. I just think powerful people in both parties, and any of their rich donors can get away with anything. We should unite in this fact and try to come back together instead of being pushed into two corners like the American people are in a boxing match.

Hunter Biden was convicted in a court of law so that Biden is not innocent. You think Joe is guilty, and you can think that, hell it could be correct, but you can't say he is without it going to court. If he's guilty how come Republicans had to lie about having evidence to never impeach him. If that evidence is produced and he's successfully impeached or indicted, prosecuted and found guilty by a jury of his peers like his son Hunter, or Trump for that matter, then you can say Joe is not innocent. He didn't pardon himself just his son. His son was wrong and should be held accountable. I don't agree with the pardon just don't agree the court of public opinion is what we fall to in order to say someone is innocent or guilty. You say his a criminal isn't enough. What if someone did that to you. You're a criminal cause "it's obvious isn't it" or I guess it's " a coincidence" x happened. You would not want to be convicted based on the court of public opinion. I would've liked to have seen him punished, but at the same time, I respect Biden for protecting his son. I hold nothing against him. If it was MY son and I could keep him out of jail within the confines of the law I would do it too.
I don't understand why people are mad at him because it could "set a president". What he did was completely within the confines of the law, so if it bothers them so much, they should change the law.
