Is US government really merciless on its own people?

I heard that US government is terrible and it does not support or give any help to its own people and society. And it is just like a company. All my life I worked with americans online, I have learned American English, I even applied for a greencard, we always watched Hollywood movies and shows and we even played video games based on American cities and characters. But now I am so afraid to live in the US.

Even though my country is a 3rd world country which has a high inflation, our government and families always support us in the hardest situations.

I fundamental believe our government goes above and beyond to represent our citizens. It's so accurate it might as well be monkey paw magic with endless opportunities.

(The term monkey paw can be used in a slang level of language as a verb that means: to wish for something without thinking through the possible consequences.)

So with the recent assassination of a healthcare ceo it's very apparent all of usa hates insurance companies and think of them as evil. At the same time we refuse to have any other system because that's higher taxes even if healthcare insurance is more expensive and you get denied coverage.

Helping people as a person is good. Government Helping people is bad. Our government is of the people by the people. People have been brainwashed thinking they are different then the government when the government is of the people.

So we assume the government is corrupt robbing thieves. So, who do we elect corrupt robbing thieves. Just to say to ourselves we are right. We can use that same power to elect who ever and create whatever world we want to live in. Yet we choose this. Choose a miserable life just to be I don't even know what.

Most foreigners think America is what media show and that is generally dramatized to sell.
Made pritter, richer, poorer, more dangerous, etc... All for your attention & interest.

The U. S. Government is generally referring to our Federal Government, but few Americans have much contact with the Federal goverment. As its responsibility is mostly forign issues like war and yourself.

Therefore the bulk of the goverment we deal with for police, roads, schools, and disputes is Local & state and naturally being 50 of them we have a selection. Some of them are abusive like New York, some of them are low profile like South Dakota, it depends on which one you choose live under.

Don't believe everything you see on TV, even the "news" cherry picked & hyped for more entertainment value than reflecting reality.

america looks good, but it's just a mask. when you really live here, you see it's all just a cover and under it is very similar to a third world country. but we just don't realize it.

and you're right, they don't help actual US citizens. i was watching a youtube video about what benefits illegals get when they come here. this lady had a literally baby FOR FREE in a new york hospital, and she's not even LEGAL. so yeah... america doesn't give a damn about it's own people. we are never first.

The US Government takes care of it's own people. Their people are the Washington insiders. The swamp creatures that have been spending their lives figurring how long it is until thy retire and get their bloated pensions.

They do not serve the citizens , they expect the citizens to serve them.

The US spends the most in absolute terms. When measured as a percentage of GDP, some of those countries spend more. The US has a very high GDP, so that lowers the percentage of GDP. But even in terms of GDP, it is still one of the highest in the world.

No matter how you look at it, the US has a MASSIVE welfare system.
