Has anyone moved from the Midwest to one of the coasts?

How was the transition? Was it a culture shock? Anything to be mindful of, culturally?

Yes, raised in rural Indiana and moved to the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. The beach life culture here is definitely a vibe that doesn’t exist in the Midwest whatsoever. It’s a lot hotter here. Heavy tourism that makes getting around in the summer months a pain in the ass. The rent is is double to triple what it is in Indiana, but pay doesn’t increase. There are slightly more varied job opportunities here, but many are seasonable.
