Yes, jury nullification is a possibility but I think it is unlikely in this case. The murder has been labeled as an act of terrorism and that will invoke an emotional response in most jurors, particularly in the hometown on 9/11. Additionally, this murder was captured on video and the jury will watch that video numerous times. It is much less likely for a jury to excuse this act when they see that video.

I think it is more likely that his defense team will enter a guilty please in exchange for some leniency in sentencing.

I would like Luigi to go to jail after being found guilty because law & order matters, though I would like for a TV broadcast of the trial and his defense instead of talking about how the client is innocent, just showcase the insurance companies & how corrupt their business is so this becomes a growing political issue that politicians will have to listen to come 2026 & 2028 if they want to hold their seats / win a seat at the table.
This should remain in the news cycle so it stays fresh in everyone’s mind because this issue matters and needs a solution beyond trying to kill a dude you disagree with when he was just following orders of the higher ups he was employed under (the CEO had more blood on his hands than Luigi in all honesty).

People use their own personal ideology to dictate the verdict in any high profile case. Or fear of repercussions. Or fear of speaking up against the vocal and aggressive crowd. So, anything can happen with this case.

The issues are around why he committed murder, and the issues politicians and health businesses need to fix.
