Offended at a skinny person being offended over me making fun of my weight?

If an overweight person makes fun of their own weight and a skinny person gets offended, is it justified for the overweight person to be offended over the skinny person feeling the need to be offended.

Overweight people can lose weight, and skinny people can have problems with their weight or have overweight partner or other loved ones. So it really depends on what kind of fat joke you made and on how they got offended about it.

If you did something like make a pun about "spare tire" when talking about tires, and they got offended because you implied you're overweight, yes they're fucking stupid and it makes sense you're offended that they think being fat is something unmentionable...

If you did something like say they're better about meeting their new years resolution than you last year because obviously everyone resolves to lose weight, and they got offended because they don't like the idea everyone must want to look like them and you're just lazy or a failure because of you're weight, that is a fair callout and it wouldn't make sense for you to feel insulted that they don't think being fat is a character flaw or being skinny is a virtue..

The thing I've noticed, is 99% of the people being offened over everything are leftist. I don't want to seem racist, but a white person telling a person of color how and when to be offended, is it self racist, they are basically saying the person of color is too dumb to know what is and what isn't offensive. I used to be a Democrat, but left, because Democrats have become racist without being racists.
