No. It can be a fine introductory-level analogy for some actual things, but it is obviously not an actual literal thing that can happen.

No, not in the literal sense, but there are trans people who describe how they feel about their body this way.

doesn't make sense to me. however, I've seen people whom seem "older than their age". So it's possible there is other dimensions to it and maybe the hormones and development have some cause and effect. Who the frip knows... were all different.

I've never wanted to be anything than a better version of myself, so I don't get it.

There is a movie like this... called "the incredible Mr Limpet". For whatever reason, he wishes he was a fish. He falls in the water and becomes a fish! Hollywood. So my advice, make a movie... haha!

Great movie.

However, um... it seems better to appreciate whom you are as you are and make the most of it as far as I know.
