Why do some people say there is no such thing as born in the wrong body?

Question

I think people born with birth defects like missing or undeveloped limbs, hearing impairment or spina bifida have a good enough reason to believe they are born in the wrong body.  Don’t you agree?

If you mean a man saying he can become a woman... he can't. He can live his life AS if he were a woman and do as much as he can to change his appearance and name and such but you cannot become the other sex.

It has always been a mental health condition and it still is. The difference is we used to treat the mental condition, now we tell them they are the other sex and that they can make this decision at 10 and get on life changing drugs at 10. Society are the evil people that believe you still are really a boy and bigots oppose you being on the girls sports teams competing directly against their daughters.

We coddle and lie to these people now when we used to just treat this as a mental illness.

If you've got a dick, a beard, balls, sperm, a hairy chest, big hands and broads shoulders... you aren't a girl and you never can be. You can change your name and live your life AS A WOMAN but you can never be a woman.

I think the problem is that it's not like you can actually do much of anything about it. So, regardless of whether it's the right or wrong body, it's the one you have to work with. "Right" and "wrong" implies that you could switch your body out for a different model, and you just can't really do that.

You wish you were born with 2 working arms, you wish you were born the other gender, whatever the case may be; this is what you have.

People generally associate the expression with trans people. And men hate trans women because hating gay people fell out of fashion, as right wing men got increasingly frustrated that they weren't allowed to admit they think dicks are delicious. Life is short. Right wing men having denied their indulgences when they were young now consider all that misspent youth and think it's dumb that they are still expected to deny their indulgences as adults.

But that hate doesn't just disappear. Instead they simply invent a rung on the hierarchy to be beneath them so they can hate it. They are dudes who seek the approval of a stiff dick and the only way they imagine anything being lower than that is dudes who seek the approval of a stiff dick while dressing as women. That's a line they won't cross for at least another 15 years..

Well lots of moving parts there. We all... all have body issues it is the human condition to be critical of how we look etc. When your born with features make you wish you were born differently equipped it's a next level problem. The best way to deal with that is let that person figure it out. It's not hurting anyone it's not dangerous to them selves or society. Judging things like this statement based upon our external experience and situation is selfish and lacks and societal and personal benefit. It just language expressing a common feeling that people have about themselves. It is neither correct nor incorrect. It's just language.

It's sad but true your DNA decides who and what you are. You can be born perfect or born with a messed up body. It's still your body and would do the same if grown again.

Something really messed up are genetic diseases! Some people will die early! Forget people whining it's not my body. Try my body will kill me by... This age!

Because they're being literal. As in "you weren't born in the wrong time period, you just wished you were born in another time." Because they're assuming the person saying they were born in the wrong body is also being literal. No one (hopefully) believes it's actually literally possible to be born in the wrong body. That doesn't even make sense.

I was born with pectus excavation but eventually got corrective surgery though it never fully went away, and I absolutely hate it. But what would the right body look like? Would it still be me?

People with birth defects used to just die, but now medical technology has allowed us to live with these existential questions. So no, I don't think anyone has the WRONG body, it's just not the body you might have wanted.

Because there is not a surplus of extra bodies lying around, perhaps you could argue trannies should be born in stillborn bodies.
just because you are born with a birth defect does not mean you are born in the wrong body. It means there is a defect with your body.
