Is the California fires a blessing for Newsome’s green energy?

If I heard correctly. All new California construction has to include solar panels and other green energy products. Therefore increasing the cost tremendously.
Do you think that he is actually happy that thousands of homes will need to be replaced sooner than expected? There by accelerating the Green New Deal?

This is an interesting question. This might unironically change the way people view it since after being forced to adopt solar panels it would be easy to get used to paying less for electricity. There is also the part where it makes people more self-sufficient in the case of a power-outage or such.

In a natural disaster like a storm it makes a world of difference when someone has their own source of electricity. Having reasonably large parts of California that has that by default is a big social shift.

I know Trump said that he wouldn’t follow the Green New Deal. If I am not mistaken. New construction would fall under local government zoning laws. So yes. Newsome would be able to require Chinese made. Non recyclable at this time. Solar panels on new homes.
