Sheesh, that would take days to type out, haha. I was a kid in the 80s and teenager in the 90s, so that’s basically my entire childhood and adolescence, which is nostalgic in its entirety.
I guess for the 80s, Nintendo was big. Like I had Atari 2600 when I was little. Then I got that Nintendo on Christmas when I was 8 or 9, and I think that might have been the most excited I had ever been at that point. Came into the living room Christmas morning, and there it was, leaning up against the fireplace, no wrapping paper, so I could get to it quick😝 Had tons of fun with it, and it was such a huge step up from Atari, so it was mind-blowing at the time.
In the 90s, I think more about music. I was primarily a hip hop guy, but I got into a little of the grunge/alternative music of that time period too. I still love Smashing Pumpkins. Something about this song, especially the light, airy sound at the beginning and end, it just brings me back, like I’m 15 and out on summer vacation…
This kind of sound, it’s just so perfectly “90s” to me…

In keeping with the "videodisc" mention, I was working in the DP department of a Fortune 200 company. The "high capacity, random access disk drives" they had at the time held 40 megabits, or a little over 4 megabytes ( 9 bits per byte including the "check bit") of information. The drive was a bit taller than a 24" dishwasher, yet the "memory" platter was a 14 - 16" disc. Today a thumb drive can hold 1,000's times more.
Butterfly Gold Corelle. Avocado appliances. (the question didn't say they had to be nice-looking).
My wedding.
Yes.
I like the music back then, so much better than what we have now. So much more talent! From The Rolling Stones, to Bob Dylan (whose voice I loved), The Beatles, Smokey Robinson, Tina Turner, Jo Cocker, The Doors, and so many others. Then came Queen, the Cure, Lighthouse, Bruce Springsteen, and on and on. The 60's in my opinion had the best music of all.
I appreciate classic rock, I have a record player. Some of my furniture looks very 70's. No social media other than this. I still have a Nintendo 64 that I never play. A cassette and VHS player. I'm definitely an old soul

Muscle cars. Before the energy crisis the big three produces what was known as a muscle car. They were standard vehicles tricked out with big block engines and duel exhausts and racing suspensions. Some were given a fancy name to set it apart from the standard car. The Plymouth Road Runner was one of the more recognizable muscle cars

The change from pulse to tone dialing telephones. We had to get a phone that could do both, as the local phone company switched from old-fashioned pulse dialing (rotary dial phones) to pulse dialing.
having to go to a video rental place and physically get a copy of the movie that i want to see rather than just googling up some piracy website that lets me watch whatever movie i want for free any time.
yeah it felt like movies had better quality cause these days movies and series are just crappy mass productions.

Easy women, feral life, amazing music, real cars, privacy existed, cheap drinks & readily available drugs!
90's snacks...
snacks were so good.. when I was a kid, lol
pretty much everything... pastries, chips, chocolates, candy... sodas
they way they would make it back then... would taste better, both for my juvenile tastebuds, and also because there must be so much more substitutes and preservatives today... lol
For starters, I think if you compiled a list of the top 1000 songs from 1960 to today, at least 90% of the songs would be from the first half of that period.
No clue I was not born yet. But I do like some of the 70
s classis rock
Now you're playing with POWER!
New Wave music, Miami Vice Equalizer TV. Retro for me.
I think it’s the entertainment that really brings me back. The shows, songs, movies, 90s bulls.
- Cassette Tapes and their huge collection.
- A wholesome life without cell phones and technology of today.
I collect for the Classic Video Game systems; that being Atari, Intellivision and Colecovision.
