I feel nostalgic about the time I could run barefoot.
*Guess, which one I am?

*Guess, which one I am?
I'm guessing you're the girl in the video. Hahaha
I get nostalgic when I think of...
My parents
My grandparents
My maternal grandparents' garden
Going places with my parents and grandparents when I was a kid
Thinking about old friends and former girlfriends.
The days (from 18 to 26 and a half) when I had long hair and did nothing but surf, play Frizbee, go on adventures, play in popular garage bands, and party like a Viking without a care in the world.
Times when you could park on the side of the highway and go to the beach anytime day or night and could have beach parties and bon fires, before they built parking lots and charged to go to the beach, closed the beaches at night and had cops on ATVs patrolling.
When everything was either free or very inexpensive. Museums, national and state parks, botanical gardens, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and lots of other family attractions, places in the mountains to slide down hills in the snow, ...
When there were vacant fields and wild areas for kids to play in, and dairies and orange groves covered the countryside, before everything got developed.
Mom and pop shops and specialty stores that provided quality goods and services, before places like Walmart and Amazon.
Liberty and freedom, before everything became digitized and businesses and government agencies began sharing information, monitoring everything, and collecting every bit of information about you.
The days when you could go to an airport, buy a ticket and hop on a plane without being hassled by TSA. Friends and family could walk into the boarding area to see you off.
The days before government began mandating things like vaccines, face masks, social distancing, energy usage, etc.
The `60's, the early `80's (the music and movies, being in a band, FINALLY, and getting laid, FINALLY!), the mid `80's (college years and recording our first album) and the `90's (recording our second album and getting a steady girlfriend, FINALLY). And, across all, having a life in MY house!!
I feel very nostalgic now about my past and childhood, as hard as it was. I miss my dear brother, who passed away in late November. I know he is in a much better place and isn't suffering, but I miss him very much. He was such a kind brother, and did so much for my sister and me. I am also nostalgic about my children. I miss them being young and cutesy, and dressing them up. <sigh>
I am so sorry for your loss π€π€π€ Brothers are the most important people in sisters lives.

kids don't play on the streets anymore...
long time ago, we decided to live in Mexico too, because of this exactly... kids were able to be kids and play outside, and nowadays... that's over in here too, it just doesn't happen anymore...
For me my college memories are nostalgic. I truly cherish them a lot.
And... third girl from left? The short one?
Yes, thatβs the only girl. Who else would I be?
Hips donβt lie
Summer time as a kid. No school, no responsibilities. Just go outside in the warm sun and play with friends. Riding bikes. Damn, I miss being a kid.
How peaceful society was without the damned world wide web.
