I think women should definitely not work after giving birth unless it is necessary. It is a great sin according to religion. It is a great sin for a mother to be in the same environment with tens of men she does not know.

The majority of the women I know have returned to work after giving birth. Some soon afterwards, others will take more time off to be with the baby. Some will stay home with the child until it starts school.

Work yes. Career? No. Career as in it becomes a priority and working long hours or taking work trips being on the table. That type of work is bad for a marriage and family.

Women should not have to work after giving birth. It's better for the baby and mom to be together especially in the first couple of years. I cannot imagine ever leaving my babies to work a regular job. If I ever had to work id rather just sell my ass on OF or something online so I could at least be home with them

Of course. Whether she should or not comes down to her situation, what she wants and what's best for her family. I know some families where the mom became a stay at home mom after giving birth, some where she went right back to work, and some where she stayed home a little while and then went back to work and the dad became stay at home instead.

I have worked with several women who have given birth. Though about half of the women who I worked with that got pregnant stopped working after their first kid. My mom would occasionally get a part time job while we grew up; though after my youngest sister started the 1st grade.

I’m leaving religion out of it. Lot of women do take maternity leave. Not sure how long? Hell guys do it to as expecting fathers. I dunno who that’s up to though
