I heard that there was thoughts that if they rebuilt it , it would have become a target for terrorism. Then I heard that that property turned into a big money grab for greedy developers and real estate investors.
I think the big hole in the ground is the best use for that property. We should never forget what happened.

It was briefly considered but the design was dated and the money and need for office space pushed it another way.
