Were there airplanes/airports during the War Of 1812, or did I hear wrong?

Some rather conservative guy told me that the "U. S. Air Force" took over British planes in places like Baltimore and New Orleans, but failed to do so in Montreal and Toronto. He basically says we seized British Airways planes in the US but not Air Canada planes in Canada.

I understand a major election is drawing near, but still...

I recently researched/studied that one. I don't believe so, but interesting fact about that war, when the British and Americans and their other allies would all retreat, their Native allies were often the only ones who would stay behind and continue to fight and defend the civilian population

since powered flight did not happen until the Wright Bros first flight on Dec. 17, 1903, that would have been a bit hard to do.
No that did not happen.
Maybe in WW1 or WW2, but not in 1812.
