It sounds like he gets his history lessons from Trump who claimed America took over the airports during the Revlolutionary War.
Don't know what's worse, the fact your boyfriend believes air ports existed in 1760 or the fact you have to ask if he's telling the truth. Fist successful powered flight didn't take place 1903, so airports didn't exist till the 1900s
We didn't have planes back then, so airports weren't a thing in 1760. So... no. That's not true.
