Why do criminals tattoo themselves?

That’s so stupid…. Many of these guys would have probably gotten away because that’s how they get identified so many times… If it wasn’t for the tattoo some of them wouldn’t have even been recognized

Gang mentalities. Also a lot of criminals gets tattoos in prison compared to when they first committed a crime. A lot also don't.

I will say criminals can be smarter then many will give them credit which can be dangerous. But many are dumb yes. The low level ones at least
