They are okay and unbothered about killing a 9 month old baby.
The problem with many of these pro-choicers today is that they took the abortion issue too far. In VA and NY, it became legal where a mother w/o the wishes of the father, could have a post-birth abortion performed. For those not into euphemistic language it's murder at that point. Had pro-choicers just maintained the original protocol, we wouldn't be talking abortion.
What's detestable about so many pro-choicers these days is how they lie and use the "life of the mother argument" or incest, etc. But even their holy shrine of Planned Parenthood even states that the reason many women abort is because they just don't want the kid. Also, abortion was used long ago even before Roe V. Wade when the mother's life was endangered. So even if a 100% abortion ban were to be implemented, a mother endanger can and will stay have the option to abort.
And before any of these degenerate commies cry, "You must be one of those Trumpeter conservatards." My retort, "Ah. . . no. . . I'm apolitical and don't believe in religion."

I am very anti-abortion as I think it is murder, but in you post you have actually alleged murder inasmuch as you wrote "could have a post-birth abortion performed" referring to mothers.
Do you have any proof that this has ever occurred, and if you do, would you kindly post it with a link here? I am concerned you are repeating a particularly vile conspiracy theory.

1 yLate term abortions are never about birth control or inconvenience. All of them are due to the fact that the fetus has severe genetic or birth defects problems and will not live once born. They will have a painful short existence if they survive the birth at all. They have no chance for life either way. The mother has a significant risk to not survive the delivery. It is a infinitely difficult choice to let your infant die a tortured death after birth or end the pregnancy. So no it's not a mental illness it's mental torture and a Sophie's choice level decision. As a medical professional that doesn't work in OB but have seen the horrible decisions and struggles that these people go through. Get off your high horse. No one carries a late term baby without having significant attachment to them and are devastated as would any family that has an essentially stillborn infant. Yes they can have PTSD from this and people who know nothing about their pain calling them murderers for political and religious group identity politics is where this simplistic view of the world originates.

If you do not work in OB where do you work, what do you do, and how is it you have seen the things you allege? I am not disagreeing with you but in general, I have found that these things tend to remain private even in inpatient settings.
Also, objections to abortion are usually directed at relatively early abortions. You have only described the problem with late-term abortions and unhealthy babies which I think is a completely different category and thankfully rare. - 1 y
@msc545 although specialist treat certain problems general medicine is often the admitting service. Since there are usually general medical issues that are outside the experience of very dedicated specialists. True for most hospital admits. So we treat the patient and know them. Like when you have your hip replaced but have diabetes, or you have a heart problem but you also have asthma. even though in this case the decision really involves psychiatric services, and obstetrics. General medicine is involved to make sure that the patient is in the best shape medically to handle the procedure.

" A full-term pregnancy lasts 39 to 40 weeks. If a woman late in a pregnancy begins to experience life-threatening symptoms like pre-eclampsia, doctors may induce delivery. Even if the baby is extremely premature (less than 28 weeks), the odds of survival are good. This induction is not abortion, and if a healthy baby is killed after being born in this way, that is infanticide, experts say."

1 yNo, being pro-choice is not mental illness. There is a significant difference between seeing life beginning at conception and recognizing the potential value of said life and recognizing that the forcible removal of the ability to make a choice is more problematic than saving someone who is not legally recognized as a person.

That means that the woman has the right to her own body and also the right to deny it to anyone else, including the fetus if you were to consider them as a human person.
My position is entirely based on logic where as you are suggesting I should base it on raw emotion.04 Reply- 1 y
I'm telling you to base it on logic. A 9 month old is a baby! Wtf is wrong with you?

Yes and so does the baby because it's human!

1 ygood question. people can disassociate when they aren't looking at the thing.
We don't grind our own pork guts and blubber into hot dogs these days, we just eat the processed item. Same issue with aborition. If they were required ot be there, to review the reality, to see projected photos of their killed off child... it would change things a bit.

1 yNo, the one with the inability to understand why someone would make the tough decision to have an abortion is more likely to have a mental illness.

Why is it a tough decision?

Anonymous(30-35)1 yAnd pro lifers are okay with a 9 year old giving birth to a rapists baby. Also with the possible result of both the mother and child dying if the baby is brought to term. Better to die in childbirth and also have the the baby die than not die and have the fetus removed.
You begin to understand how stupid your argument sounds?00 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)1 yif it's NOT a baby, then why the fuck are men who cause miscarriages charged with homicide? make it make sense
life comes before choice anyway. what choice does someone have if they're not alive?

1 yNah, as much as I don't agree with it, a lot of pro-choicers don't actually agree with late term abortions, and really believe that abortion is a human right..
00 Reply 5.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No, but anti-abortionists are naïve and a bit immature.

-nobody aborts at a gestation of full term...
@HelpfulWoman That is not true. Fetuses are viable at 24 weeks, and there are abortions performed after that time.
- 1 y
At 9 months, full term? absolutely true which is what the asker posted.
most of the time, abortions late into the pregnancy are for the risk of death for the mother.
Also viable doesn't guarantee life outside the womb either.
for instance, this is in the uk: Official 2021 abortion statistics show that 89% of abortions were carried out under 10 weeks, increasing from 88% in 2020. (source: www.msichoices.org.uk/.../)
I'm really only interested in the fact of correcting the 9 month comment... @HelpfulWoman But pro abortion people will never say "abortion at 9 months gestation is wrong". Ask them. They'll hide behind "life of the mother" like you did, but there are zero instances where a mother's life is in danger that wouldn't be fixed by delivering the baby.
@HelpfulWoman Then make the moral stand that it's wrong to abort a 9 month old fetus. It's really simple.
Anonymous(25-29)1 yIt's a fetus. If it's an "unborn baby" then, by the same logic, you are an "undead corpse".
04 Reply- 1 y
Unborn doesn't mean dead you moron.
Opinion Owner1 yI didn't say it did. I said a fetus isn't a 9 month old baby and you aren't an undead corpse.

You didn't read the whole post?
Opinion Owner1 yYou asked if pro choicers are mentally ill and then went on to make the ridiculous claim that a fetus is a 9 month old baby. I read it.
