No. People have been making those claims throughout history. People just end up doing different things.

I worked in engineering on stuff that basically replaced people with smart machines. The people just did something else. Some ran the new machines, and others went somewhere else in the plant.

I think what is more likely is that the jobs will be out there, but people will have fewer and fewer options on what kind of work they do. There should be a wide variety of jobs so people have options. I could see the variety decreasing, but then again it might not.

Yes, it will displace a lot of humans. Instead of everyone taking advantage of the increase in productivity there will only be a few that will benefit from it, The rest will be unemployed

Its not a threat to my job be cause I’m too complicated and specific to be duplicated by any operational machinery and I have a religious tradition that AI cannot capture.

Of course it is but automation is always been a threat. It’s been going on for decades. Eventually, people will be paid to not work.
