Why do people not like RFKs policies on making food healthier?

Question

We (🇺🇸) are the fattest nation in history, please tell me reasons people or you personally don't like his policies. No judgement, just education for me.

Yep, we are the fattest nation and one of the sickest. I'm even willing to bet that 1 in 3 Americans is on some kind of medication. I am all for healthier food and I even try to eat healthy myself, I would say I only ever eat out maybe once or twice a month.

However, eating healthy does not require the extremes of going vegan, gluten-free, or non-dairy. There are so many vitamins and nutrients we get from meat, eggs, and milk. And I'm not going to stop eating those things. If you don't want to eat pork or beef, that's fine I don't care, but we don't need to give up meat entirely just to be healthy. We simply need to cut back on fatty foods, take-out, sugar, and caffeine and incorporate more fruits and vegetables into our daily diets and balanced meals with meat.

I guess they have no clue about the dangers of GMOs, agricultural poisons, preservatives, and harmful chemicals in food.

Or maybe they don't trust him because:
They were brainwashed into thinking that his warnings about the mRNA jabs were anti-science and would lead to deaths.
They don't think vaccines need to undergo the same scrutiny as other products.
They think pharmaceutical companies don't put profit before safety and efficacy.

Maybe they hate him because he became independent of the Democratic swamp.

It most likely won’t come to pass. Trump is all about “cutting red tape” (AKA removing safety and quality standards) to make profits higher. As much as it would be nice to start banning a lot of the same ingredients as they do in the UK, he’ll either end up fighting Trump on it because the substitutions will be more expensive and he doesn’t want to lose face with the rich people who backed him, or Trump will have lost so much of his mental wherewithal that he’ll succeed which only speaks poorly on Trump’s leadership to do such a massive 180 compared to his first term.

Not sure it's too much on his policies about food (except maybe the raw milk thing which is terrible), it's more for his stances on vaccinations that I think get more hate from him.

don't know... I think they dislike him because of position of vaccines.

It could be because so much $ is made from al that crap in food and medical treatment, so there is backlash.

we can't make American any sicker can we... time to go the other direction.

I'd like to say it's like Dorothy in the Wiz of Oz where you have the power to chang your future at any time. But most people are so brain washed, and many limited by the food supply in their area or $, so many end up trapped in a cesspool. It's time to cleanup the food supply from the top down.

The problem is not trying to make America healthier, the problem is that RFK Jr is literally the worst person imaginable to give this task to. He has a very long track record of actively going out and giving advice that kills people. He has more blood on his hands than most in the world and you want him to make your food healthier? No thanks.

Besides, last time the Democrats tried to decrease the amount of sugar people consumed in soda the Republicans screamed "Tyranny!" from the rooftops. Do not come in here and pretend that the Republicans who are currently elected give a flying fuck about healthy food when they demonstrably do not.

It seems like a lot of his ideas are centered around "Just eat less, and healthier food."

It's good advice that works. But we've been told that for decades by the government and institutions, and still the amount of overweight people keeps growing.

He us an sntivaxxer, not just for the COVID-19 vaccine, but all of them. Asked simple questions about Medicaid and Medicare shows he knows virtually nothing about them.
Essentially he's completely detached from reality.
He killed a bear to eat it, remembered he had a flight, so he decided to leave it in Central park, which is illegal. It was an unsolved crime until he mentioned it in an interview.
He also decapitated a dead whale, also illegal, and took the head home.
These aren't really news stories like the pet eating lies, the bear thing was told by him and the whale thing was told by his daughter.

I don't know. I'm just posing a guess, they probably have some money making agreement between the politicians and the food companies. The food companies want to get rich by putting unhealthy stuff in there that will addict people to it and make it last forever on shelves and they give money to politicians and donate if they'll keep this stuff legal.
