Why do predators stay civil towards their victims despite being “outed”? How come some of them don’t turn more hostile?

Do they keep being civil towards you despite knowing you’ve told others, so they can manipulate you more? Or stay close to you so they can destroy you somehow?

Maybe we should first define what is meant with "predator". There is a very large scale of levels in that field, and I wonder if you would consider a guy who only loves to date girls, whether amateurs or professionals, as a predator? Don't you think that, set aside real dangerous predators meaning really harm, many men get such a reputation merely out of ignorance on behalf of those suspecting them?

When a guy has a sincere wee spot for a girl, and he decides to try and seduce the girl, is that guy considered a predator? As you see, one needs to be very carefull because of a large grey area in the field of seduction, as well for girls as guys.

When a girl does not want to get involved with a particular guy, and clearly tells or shows him, and the guy stays civil, is that sometimes not a clear sign he accepts the situation? Maybe he got a better education than many others. Sure there are manipulators, but I'm not convinced those to be the majority.
