What would you do if a Man beats a woman and a little dog in the street?

This just happened in Turkey yesterday. This son of a bitch kicked a woman and a little dog which tried to help her. People didn't get involve in these kind of cases to help because in this country they will get in trouble and the criminals with 100+ records are still in the streets.

In the case in the video, it all happened so fast that, by the time people noticed and had an opportunity to intervene, the guy was gone. At least people helped that woman afterward. When I needed help it went on long enough that first responders got there while it was still happening. And of the 19 witnesses, some did call 911. But, even with 5 adult men watching, only 1 woman tried to help and wasn't able to effectively. At least she was brave. There aren't many heroes left in the world, I think.

I hate to break it to You, especially since You seem a good person, but there might be another reason why those adult men refrained from helping You. Given how easy it would be for them to get accused of an attempted rape if they as much as touched Your body (including through the clothes) and left their DNA on it... Yeah, unless I knew You personally, I would react the same way. I would call the ambulance... But that would be it.

@Caroline91 Or at least in the West. You know, when the times come when there is virtually no difference between heroism and stupidity, it is no time to be heroic. I would be perfectly fine with saving a woman in the East, like in Japan, China, Russia, Iran (though that last one might be risky in its own way)... You get the drift. But if I might as well be sued for attempted rape or at least sexual harassment if I as much as touch a woman... You know, there were literal lifeguards who were sued by women they saved... I am not mental enough to risk a similar hell come to me!

@CalmUntilAbused Good you know your boundaries. We all get to live with our consciences, too. And that’s different for each of us. But I understand helping is always a calculated risk.

Not sure about the dog, but I would need more context to make sure the woman is not at fault. Though let's be honest, in Turkey, she probably isn't. If the same thing happened in Poland (or anywhere in the West), I would most likely hold judgement. It would be likely that she was the one who inititated the violence, only did not expect the man to fight back. If she went limp, I might call an ambulance for her... But I would not put a finger on her, in order to avoid any sexual misconduct accusations. As for the dog... I might take care of it, but it is unlikely I would directly act against the man for the sake of the dog. It is normal reaction to fight back against any animal attacking You while You are occupied, so unless I had a proof the man was the evil one and the one at fault, I would just bring the dog to a veterinarian at most.

Honest answer, I wouldn't know. I doubt any action would help in cases like this. I'd probably yell at the fucker or step in between, but knowing you could get in trouble for that... can't give you a sincere answer. Maybe call the cops, but I doubt they'd do anything.

Call the cop, few years ago my ex pumped my head on the wall and choke me, he didn’t let me go until a man who passed by helped me.


And you know what he is body builder and 186cm and i am only short girl 165cm. So could die if someone didn’t help me that time.
