Why do people become feminists?

There's probably the misconception that feminism is against men, when it's really just about equality and equity between men and women. Which, I'd say, shouldn't be an issue. The term has just been used in such a way, that it creates more hatred and shit between people, which - along with everything else that causes more polarisation, is all the more beneficial for people who want to keep us distracted from actual issues going on in the world.
That's my take. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Very accurate in my opinion. I personally consider myself a feminist, but once, i found a feminist post basically saying that women hate men because men have hated women for forever, which isn't wrong, but it was basically a reasoning for why misandry is okay💀 i commented and said that whilst i know that women have been treated terribly by men, that doesn't excuse any hatred of a person based solely on a characteristic they were born with and had no choice in the matter. After i posted that i got eaten up by feminists, some literally saying i wasn't a feminist if that was my take💀 basically, i was simply advocating for no hate on either end, but there are a lot of very “passionate” feminists who deem it right to hate all men. I've said it before and ill say it again, you can't fight fire with fire

@lil_will_12 not just men hating women, cause truth is, as you can see- it's often women hating on women too.
Sometimes more than anything else. Feminism used to be about equal rights & opportunity and what not, but it's been turned into this battle of the sexes, which is what's making it a much bigger issue than it's initial desire to do the exact opposite.

Women, especially very young ones, get radicalized by the ubiquitous anti-male feminist propaganda in the West. They are convinced they are oppressed victims of men and "patriarchy" before they are even old enough to think for themselves.
