“The world government”, there is no world government. This isn’t Star Trek where we have a united coalition.

I will say, Americans on record have more health problems & obesity rates than anywhere else and that was the doing of Capitalism not the world governments.

So, why is healthy food less accessible to Americans? It is higher in price compared to unhealthy, sugar loaded, trans fat having processed snacks / foods. Fast Food Restaurants want you to comeback so, they’ll make good tasting food that is on the cheap side which leans towards unhealthy. McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Burger King, etc. aren’t just on every street corner because of Government Ploys it is on every street corner because it sells in a free Capitalist market.

It is also proven that Fast Food Industries along with Big Oil, Health Insurance Schemes, Big Pharma, Big Tech, etc. lobby the government to do its bidding which influences the laws that are laid out.

Funding For School Health Education, More Resources For The Poor, Healthy School Lunch Options, and Electing Leaders Who Actually Stand Against The Food Industry would definitely help. Better than doing nothing, obesity is getting out of control & leads to a lot of health issues down the road.

I think corporations are trying to make us fat and unhealthy in general. The packaged food industry stuff their products with the holy triumvirate of sugar, salt, and fats. It tastes good and sells well plus those ingredients are cheap and plentiful. And it creates heart disease and diabetes.

But wait there's good news. The pharmaceutical industry would like to sell you insulin for your diabetes, statins for your cholesterol, and a whole shelf full of drugs for your high blood pressure.

And these industries both have lobbying groups whose job is to bribe Congress to pass laws that allow them to have this symbiotic relationship between corporations making people unhealthy, corporations keeping unhealthy people alive, and government.

But to be clear, government is not the one running the show. It is the Capitalists. And profits are goooood! So eat up and swallow a pill for the economy!

Why would they do that? People are getting fatter because are bodies aren't use to the amount of surplus calories we have. America is the wealthiest country, so our portion sizes are bigger are food has more ingredients, we have more options for food and more ways to get it. It's not a bad thing, but it completely screws with our brains.

There is no conspiracy here, Its just the natural effects of surplus. You see the same problem in all first world nations. It may not be as big in some countries yet but it's growing. As the food grows so does your waistline. Governments are just parasites trying to feed on your wealth. They do nothing. People just think they do

Do I think? No, I know. Look at everyone and then look at photos from way back when and count how many fat people you see then and how many you see now.
Look how much money goes to hospitals, how much they make let alone getting money from tax payers.
If everyone was fit and healthy and didn’t have so many issues then they wouldn’t be making money.
Nowadays everyone got a problem and a big percentage of those problems is from what we’re putting in our bodies.

No. People get fat due lack of specific nutrients if food. It means lot of foods contain same kcal amount like 30-40 years ago but half or even less other nutrients, especially proteins and fiber. This is main factor why people eat too much, but starch and sugar boosted fast food/convince food is a reason as well.

American culture for sure. we sell fast food like it's food.

we sell convenience... it isn't.

it's gross. I much prefer other cultures way of doing things and we should bring that to USA. It is here, it is just a matter of having more international food available in smaller towns, people eating it, etc..

I'm fortunate to have so much around me, diversity.

The entire human race? Just Americans?

I wouldn't be surprised that countries that are trying to destroy America like China or Russia or Iran promote an agenda to cause health problems such as obesity in Americans, I think it's pretty clear that they do. If that's what you mean yes I think they would do it and do already do it.

No but I don't think corporations that make crap "food" products or make whatever is sprayed on crops care what it does to our health. I'd say people choosing sedentary lifestyles or have a job at desks is probably a bigger reason obesity is an issue around the globe. Clearly in more places than others.

What's making Yankees fugly is their addiction to fast food, HUGE portions, all-you-can-eat buffets, and food deserts in poor areas where the residents must eat at fast food joints because real supermarkets aren't in walking distance and many of these folk can't afford cars.

I mean possibly. It probably isn't a coincidence that obesity rates are at an all time high throughout the whole world. There could be other reasons for it, but this is not an impossible reason.

It is our culture tht is doing it. People work too many hours at sedentary jobs, they eat in their cars, kids do not get any exercise either, they sit in front of screens. They have been fed a diet of high fat and sugar.
