Do you agree that recycling building should exist?

I was having lunch with my best friend we both love history and love the beautiful art of historic buildings. We had a very nice good We should start recycling buildings also it won't be necessary to cut down trees and there's is some money out there that would want and appreciate a beautiful Victorian building. My grandmother and grandfather bought their home from a Sears catalog from back in the day and still now it looks fantastic according to my cousin she tells me no one would want to live there much less but it , But I am sure there's people out there who would buy a Victorian home. So many abandoned Victorian homes left to rought. It would be nice it we could save this historic homes and buildings. Personally I believe building new homes new subside cutting trees down is such a waste. What do you think should people start a petition in regards recycling old historic Victorian homes?

Many of the older buildings are not well suited to our modern lifestyle. Many older houses were not built with indoor plumbing and some without an indoor kitchen. Many of them are also considerably smaller than more modern houses.

Sometimes that can be done and people will move an entire house to a new location.

Unfortunately, a lot of older homes have had leaks that caused rot in the supporting structure or rodents or termites that ate through the wood.

It’s one thing to replace a little paint, a roof, insulation, or even the plumbing and wiring. When you add replacing the structure too, now you might as well build new.

they do that in a prior city I came from... expensive to rehab, but the value went way up... justifying the repair.

it's a ton of work but I think worth it. some people don't appreciate what gem they have, given it's state of demise and lack of upkeep.

One of our homes was built in 1922. I like it a lot. We remodeled internally when we bought it, new electrical and plumbing, but the bones of the house are awesome.

I know somebody that bought an old Victorian house for a dollar. They had to pay to have it moved. Her mother in law gave them a piece of land to put it on.

I think the crisis is affordable housing. I hear you but not practicable.
Today's lumber is purpose grown anyway neither taking nor adding trees

I love the look of old houses, I just don't like repairing them and not a big fan of ghosts
