Yes. Paper is recyclable, which means it will not fill up a garbage pit, and it will be reused rather than killing more trees for paper. Plastic was once thought to be recyclable, but there was no effective way and it ended up getting dumped. And if they do find a way to effectively recycle, it will still need to be separated from paper.

Every Tuesday the city picks up my trash & every other Thursday my city picks up recycling. The bins in your photo teach people to throw the right stuff in the right bin.
Can't say how badly something like this is needed, but bet it works fairly well for the purpose it was made for.
And nobody has rotated the paper bin 90° a missed opportunity.

needed so people won't put wet bottles in paper. this is common in university and i suspect some students intent to ruin the paper system or jam the machines as rebellion.
the left is vaginal the right is Anal or is it just me?
You took the words right out of my mouth. Hahaha 😆 😂
Aside from the funny shapes, I never understood why we recycle paper.
less demand on cutting trees.
I posted a question on using logging as a means of carbon sequestration.
Are you sure recycling paper isn’t feasible? I crunched some numbers on it in a previous question.
@love_conquers_lust
Not from what I've read. In my question I wrote that some types of bamboo grows 1.5 inches per HOUR. lol
I have read about that. They’re hollow lightwoods, lots of air in them.
Without running numbers, generally recycling is always advantageous even if it’s not valued. The only reason the economics disfavors it is fresh feedstock is so ridiculously abundant and cheap. Just like why environmental regulations are sometimes hard to enforce. The air is so abundant it’s effectively free. That’s why it gets polluted because we don’t put a dollar value on it. Were air to become scarce, it would be a different story and climate change would be a top priority.

You can also make paper from hemp and cotton. I think that recycling is just a "feel good" thing.
I’m not a fan of hemp. Recycling is crucial for things like precious metals.
@love_conquers_lust
That makes sense, because metal is finite. Something that you're not allowed to talk about on this site is that it takes 90,000 pounds of material to make one electric car battery. We're not ready for electric cars, but you don't dare say that on this site.
So is carbon in paper. It’s very abundant. We will be. It’s inevitable because making oil takes a looooooooooong time that can’t be artificially created at the moment in a feasible sense, like what you’re referring to with recycling paper.
Our grid can’t handle electric cars yet. The power lines and transformers need to be upsized and better conductors used. I love electricity, last thing I expected when I went to school even though it wasn’t my focus.
Our Amazon delivery vehicles are all electric even out in the countryside. Eerily quiet.
@love_conquers_lust
The Tesla rescue cars burn gas. lol
Probably. I’m not familiar with every model. I know their batteries are improving and with linger ranges at cheaper prices. Charging times won’t ever change, energy is energy. What you can do is get larger capacity chargers. It’s all an engineering problem to me.
Fuel sources are mixed market economies. Oil, nuclear, renewable are all going to be on the market for years to come. Taking one away makes the remainders more expensive. Having them all makes things cheaper for everyone.
@love_conquers_lust
From what I understand, the fast chargers for car batteries cost about as much as the lower model cars. And why aren't we using propane in cars? I worked for a sandwich factory, and all the cars ran on propane. It's all about corporate greed.
Fork trucks run on propane. It’s light and yields a lot of energy for short distance travel. For say, lifting pallets of shit high up on racks in a warehouse. But it would be a terrible option for long distance travel because there aren’t that many BTUs in total in a container of propane.
Corporations are greedy. That’s their job. But there’s an equilibrium. Customers are greedy too. It’s up to customers to tell corporations what they want. Right now, the way corporations are set up, it’s working as it is supposed to and tweaks are needed. But you don’t want governments to run them. Governments are the worst businesses of all. They’re best suited for enforcing laws to make sure private businesses play fair to keep competition at a maximum.
@love_conquers_lust
The range was 350 miles.
Pretty damn good considering that would have been 100 miles 10 years ago. Still not on par with 500 or so miles with fuel fired engines, but really, a majority don’t needs to have that kind of range. It’s people in the country who need special consideration because they travel long distances. It’s them who need more charging stations and larger batteries. And that need will be reflected in the price of whatever they’re harvesting. Urbanites don’t like it, they can take their pansy asses out to the country and see if they can hack it.
Did I earn a follow?
@love_conquers_lust
We had a list of places to get propane, so it was never and issue. You could travel across the US if you knew where to get more propane.
So, no follow?
@love_conquers_lust
I don't want to follow or be followed.
😕. How can you lead, then? How can you gain allies?
1) Before she goes to college.
2) After she has her first child.
As a change of pace, the green one looks much easier to use than the blue one...
Yep totally needed for a more easy and efficient way!!😇😇
Choices, choices... hmmm... tough to decide which "hole" to use for my "disposal"...🤔😅😂
if you have bottle, only one option.
It helps to keep the recycle stuff out of the trash.
Although someone can sort paper and plastic, this is a good idea, as We can recycle without paying a dude for sorting.
Very interesting design! Possibly figured that people would want to stuff things into those shapes then other ones.
🤦…someone approved the design, they configured the assembly line AND they checked off the “quality control” box
I take it the signs are consent that they’re both receptive receptacles.
I seen this here too. Its specifically made for the rebels who want to put a square peg in a round hole
That’s ridiculous. They’re both made out of plastic.
but repeated reuse, not like a disposable cup.
Guys... hear me out. Just-just hear me out. It looks.. it looks fuckable. Really. it does.
Lol no problem in tht i guess
You've never heard of recycling?
But seriously. It's more practical
Most people can't figure it out on their own.
Seem like before and after picture..
Yeah unfortunately it is
Nope
Oh my 😅😂
My dirty mind
Good post
