And yes, Jesus poked a hole in the universe as he had infinite power at that time and set up a new world those whom believe in him can go. The job is to do his work here, to love and save as many as possible, then you get new life. It's an amazing gift. Science doesn't say no... it says at least... possible!

My "beliefs" are generally based on science and the scientific method. My beliefs can be changed if new information becomes available that supports a change in thinking about how the universe works.

My biggest problem with religion and Christianity in particular is that they make up a truth and paint themselves into a corner by proclaiming that fiction to be the unchangeable word of some magic invisible sky fairy whois all knowing and all seeing. Criticism is labeled blasphemy. That's a clear path to stagnation in thought. And it's done on purpose.

I'll take my chances with science and keep my mind open.
