What would a "financial & emotionally fit" assessment look like?
Clearly a anaology of the leftists who wanted mandatory COVID vaccines, unlike the Right leaning people who don’t force people to do something with their body. If it was analogy of pro life people then clearly they would have used some sort of denied supporting unethical shit like for example deluding "trans” kids they can change their gender by doing something stupid with their body. Oh wait, the leftists support that shit too.
You hear that leftists wanting mandatory vaccines? Shut up about the Roe V Wade verdict, and leftists who support "trans" kids, shut up too and mind your business! The analogy is about you!
Reversals have low success rates that even go down with the years since the vasectomy. Reversals are also very expensive. Most men’s sperm does not support banking (only 10% of men) so you’ll need most of the time IVF with the sperm to make it work.
I don't know that about banking. TY! Yeah the new procedure is a Clip instead of a snip so there's minimal scarring.
So forcing someone to get a medical procedure is the same thing as stopping someone from getting one? Very few women even get abortions yet this would force all men to get a vasectomy.
Like I'm pro choice, but this argument is awful. That being said I'd appreciate it men took birth control more seriously. I'm sick of always having to be the responsible one.
You're in luck. Seems to be within reach real soon.

while i'm pro choice, thats such a dumb argument. XD Also vasectomies are never done, nor should ever be "advertised", as reversible. Any medical professional will tell you that (for instance Mama Doctor Jones. does lots of pregnancy/birth control informational videos).

If we're doing a flat swap, his wife or girlfriend would have to say he's financially and emotionally fit before his doctor can reverse it. Personally I'm not a fan of either situation, but using this one as a hypothetical may be helpful to show how bad/sexist the actual situation is.
Vasectomies are FAR from being 100% reversable, and in fact the longer it's been, the less successful it's likely to be. Any ethical doctor is going to avoid procedures that could have a severe impact and are likely to be regretted sometime over the next 60 years. Doctors actually get sued for doing such things.
If there was such a simple and reliable method as you imagine, we'd have it available, but there isn't.
But wait!!! There's more!!!

It doesn't matter. You aren't going to convince the vast majority of men. Maybe some soy-boy Feminists might do this, but they largely aren't getting laid anyway. You definitely aren't convincing the uber masculine bad boys that are impregnating most of the women today, and you are delusional if you think otherwise.. Responsibility isn't high on their priority list.
Men should also just not sleep around…. Not saying women need to have surgeries just don’t sleep around until you’re ready to be a mom or dad.
I have men here get pissed off all the time at me…. Because they don’t want to pay child support yet sleep witn women
The metaphor for abortion is pretty obvious.
Not a good one, though. Forcing someone to have invasive surgery is quite different from restriction abortions.
I don't think this argument will change the mind of a single person from either the pro-life or the pro-choice camps.
They aren't reversible. It maybe possible but not garunteed, certainly risky to do as a matter of course. Who's going to pay for all these operations? Ars there enough doctors to perform them? What do you do with tourists and you can't push this policy worldwide, can men only enter country with proof of vasectomy?
No that's fascism.
IF that's the case then let women choose (or randomly issue it irrespective of source as that would be akin to what the Nazis were after) the banked sperm and then men don't need to be held responsible for other men's children.
YIKES!!! 😬😬😬
Would you trust them to keep your sperm frozen. Maybe after having all the kids you are going to have but the idea of getting sterilised now hoping frozen eggs of mine will be good when I'm ready to have another is crazy.
I think that this is a great idea. I would have done this when I was younger. Since I never became financially and emotionally fit I probably never would have been allowed to have kids.
I’ve always preached women’s rights over their own body when it comes to abortion / when it comes to her wanting a child.
She deserves a say and to do what she must.
Some of those that defend life of a child, are the same that won’t pay child support / adopt orphaned kids / not support a literal pregnant 12 yr old from preventing a life risking pregnancy against their consent due to a disgusting predator.
Actualy there's been a reversible option called vaselgel available in India for years. The FDA won't approve it for use in the US for some reason.
personally. idgaf nor is it my business what the woman does with her body. What's concerning is what she does to the living child inside her when she doesn't want to deal with the consequences of her actions. Murdering a baby because you can't keep your legs closed is not okay. Someone had to say it.
"consequences of HER actions"?
You're either woefully uniformed about human reproduction or a dick misogynist. Sad either way!
I could envision lots of old men hooking up with young women to bare their children. After they become financially and emotionally stable! In their fifties.
Great point. Unfortunately you're going to get some imbecile in the right say how this isn't the same thing.
Not sure I agree, but since some men aren’t responsible enough to wear a condom, then maybe it could work. It’s not always reversible though.
I thought we had birth control already. Why does being a shitlib require you to ignore reality so much?
"we"? Who's we? You mean THEM? FEMALES?
At least science is still funded under the Tru... Wait. It's not is it?
www.webmd.com/.../options-in-the-pipeline-for-male-birth-control
So there are these things called condoms. If you’ve ever had sex you might know what they are.
Nope upside, they can reverse themselves
Castration or nothing
That won’t go over well and who’s going to pay for it?
Trump! He promised free IVF treatment so we'll just put it in that category!! 😁😁😁
I already had one irreversible snip when born , didn’t need another when a teenager, the whole idea is crazy, the population would probably be half it is now if they actually did that way back and then no work force or men to fight wars. I don’t think they thought this through and then you have states outlawing abortion that are usually at the poverty level and they wonder why?
Guys already don't get a say in whether they are willing to pay child support or not.
Broaden your perspective a bit poh
Vascetomies are reversible up to a point, but the success rate of reversals decrease with time.
That seems like a good idea. In my case i suffer delayed ejaculation and problems with my sperm so its very difficult for me to get a woman pregnant
Nicely said!
Yeah, you're a woman.
