I don't know if this is in reference to a specific thing so I’m going to say my opinion given no context.

The Ottoman Empire during World War I committed a systemic genocide against the Armenian people and the modern Turkish government refuses to accept any accountability / formal apology for the atrocities and have done steps to prevent those from speaking out.

United States of America acknowledged its dark past while also making great strides to not repeat it over the years…. Turkish Citizens want to feel protected, seen, and heard much like all residents around the globe from their government because “those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Imagine if we never acknowledged the Japanese Internment Camps under President FDR & gave back the property thanks to President Ronald Reagan. That would’ve been a critical misstep or if we never gave the rights to the Slaves after The Civil War had ceased.

The Turkish People deserve more from their government, they deserve it & their voice with it too.

@beefcakebradybatson I know we formerly apologized for the treatment to Native Americans… Yeah we as a nation never apologized or gave back rights that were stripped away from the end of Reconstruction Era. That is something unforgivable, sorry for that oversight which wasn’t my intention more so it was my intention to speak up for The Armenian People wronged though we should uplift all. There is a term in Türkiye. It is called neo-Ottomanism. Actually It is like an ideology. You know Ottoman Empire was ruling Balkans, Middle East, North Africa e. t. c.
