The 2020 COVID crisis that the government made far, FAR worse and illegally infringed upon everyone's rights? That's EXACTLY why a ton of these departments need to be massively downsized and many others need to be closed entirely. They're just self-important people exercising power in stupid, often illegal ways at massive expense to tax-payers. And many are enriching themselves in the process.

Elon is a naturalized American citizen, and he also owns several businesses that are strategic assets of the USA. For example, Boeing got awarded the primary contract for a rocket system to get astronauts to the ISS (International Space Station) and to the moon. SpaceX got a secondary contract for just under half as much. SpaceX had rockets flying and was taking government payloads (including people and supplies to the space station) ahead of schedule. Boeing spent all its money, asked for and received billions more, and when they finally sent the first pair of astronauts to the ISS, the capsule had so many problems that they couldn't bring them home. Their 8-day trip is now 8 months and counting - they're still there. But their ride home has been docked to the ISS for several months, courtesy of SpaceX (they're waiting on NASA scheduling to bring the astronauts home). If it wasn't for Elon and SpaceX, they would literally be stranded, because the big government contractors with all of the experience couldn't get the job done at 3 times the price and 5 extra years. Why? Because Elon understands focus, efficiency, and avoiding waste.

Why are you not upset that literally trillions of dollars have been borrowed and spent on insane senseless crap or just outright stolen to enrich the politically connected. YOU, YOU PERSONALLY, are on the hook for more than $300,000 in taxes in your lifetime (as of right now) because of this. And that amount nearly doubled under Biden and because of the "Inflation Reduction Act" that did not reduce inflation but massively increased the national debt. YOU will end up paying that money in taxes because the government has been borrowing money in YOUR name. And in my name too, as well as every other American who earns money.

Do you really think we need to employ people in full-time government positions, with high salaries and benefits, to teach the Taliban to respect LGBT pronouns? Or Haitians how to Riverdance? Is that how you want your tax money spent? Really?

The crisis in 2020 was manufactured to create unfounded panic so that pharma corporations could make $billions, paid for with our tax dollars, on an unnecessary, ineffective and harmful "experimental" gene modification injection that people were coerced into taking. Aside from that, the protocols also killed people, and mandates destroyed lives.
The people involved in managing the "crisis" are guilty of deliberate crimes against humanity. The FDA and CDC were in on it. They knew exactly what they were doing.

The USDA doesn't help farmers and the FDA doesn't protect consumers from toxic food because both of those agencies are captured by the industries they are supposed to regulate.

And FEMA has been an enemy for years. For example, it not only didn't help victims of Hurricane Katrina, Lahaina and North Carolina, it actively prevented people from saving lives and property.

There are more examples.

So I'm all in favor of gutting many agencies and rooting out the corruption.

The same thing happens every 4 years in the UK after an election when a politican wants to impress. There's mass government lay offs which looks good on paper but the reality is most of them are just early retirement schemes or ending projects that were ending anyway. It's amazing how many jobs can disappear on paper just by changing a job title.

Where there has been mass layoffs they usually have to rerecruit a year later to meet workloads. I know of one government agency that's struggling because all their good experienced staff were sacked and now they're lumbered with useless new starters.

I'll guarantee this is what will happen in the states.

You are comparing something to nothing. Is it jacked up that they are spending trillions more than they make, by congress mis management... doing this for decades? Yes.

The irony here is incandescent. Maga maniacs complain and complain about immigrants not belonging in the country. It's a travesty, they say, that the immigrant Jose is up on the roof working in the hot sun or hauling bricks around helping to build shit for rich people. Taking our jobs they say. Yet, they have no issue giving a slimy South African immigrant, who wasn't elected, complete access to goverment files and finances, then allowing him to slash and burn and fire whoever the fuck he wants to. How many jobs has Muskrat eliminated in the last month? A lot more than Jose. But Jose is back in Mexico now and since he can do physical labour and work outdoors with his hands, unlike a lot of Americans, he'll be fine anywhere they send him. And all the people Muskrat fired? Not so much. It's not gonna be so easy for them.
