Yes, and I think it was on purpose. They knew they were in front of cameras. Trump can’t even help himself from giving it away, he said “the American people need to see this” and “this will be great television.” Everything is about marketing to this bozo🤦‍♂️

There are accusations we can make about Biden with Ukraine and Trump with Russia. Let’s not get in the weeds about that and we’ll say there’s “smoke, but no proven fire” around each. I have my feelings about stuff, you probably have your own feelings about stuff, but let’s just call it a draw on those fronts for the sake of not convoluting the discussion.

The bottom line is this: Russia is wrong for invading Ukraine and trying to expand their territory. That shouldn’t be an argument we even need to waste time on in the democratic Western World. Putin is the bad guy, and I’d argue the worst we’ve seen since Hitler, 80+ years ago. This is that moment in time where we all are supposed to drop what we’re doing and stop it, for the good of humanity and all that’s right in the world. That’s what Old America would do.

This is such a crazy script-flip to me, because I’m a Cold War Kid, I was a child during Reagan’s terms, was old enough to remember the fall of The Berlin Wall and the collapse of the USSR. That was “the bad guy” when I was growing up. Shit, I had an uncle who died in Vietnam, I’m not old enough to have known him, but I knew all about Uncle Louie the pilot. And at school, I would tell other kids that he was shot down by “the Russians”, lmao, because I thought Russians were just who the bad guys were, every time😂 On the old “bubble hockey” tables they had arcades, the two sides were USA and USSR, and no one wanted to have to be the Russians, there’d be arguments over that, haha.

And I never carried any Russian hatred with me, especially post-USSR. Russia was trying to rebuild for 15-20 years, I didn’t really think about them. The most I thought about it was like “WTF are all these new countries on the map now? KAZAKHSTAN? I thought they made that up on the Ali G Show for the Borat character?”🤦‍♂️😂 That’s my own ignorance, lmao, I was young. “There’s a “Georgia The Country?🤯🤣 I thought Ukrainians were like an ethnic group of Russians, with “-chuk” on the end of their last names. Turns out they were an occupied country taken over by the USSR. Whoops😅

But I still always knew Russia was a country to be a little wary of. And Putin has proven me right. What he’s doing now is the same as Hitler with Poland on 1939. I don’t think the concentration camps were rolling just yet, but the march for territory, out of nowhere, is the same. And I don’t anticipate concentration camps out of Putin, but there doesn’t have to be ethnic cleansing or genocide, it’s the aggressive territorial expansion that’s most worrisome.

You just can’t allow this in the modern world, it’s not Genghis Khan’s age or even Napoleon’s. At some point we have to evolve and say “enough is enough, the maps are drawn, nobody act up.” And if someone does act up, everyone else slaps them RIGHT down, and it’s a long time before the next guy tries to act up.

So…. Ukraine needs us, and they’ve done nothing to anyone where we should refuse to help. I think Biden did a good job of keeping the US involved without getting REAL involved, and getting our own troops on the battlefield, and without touching off a larger conflict. Russia is beginning to exhaust too, they’re bringing in North Korean troops for backup. An extensive war is bad for Russia. It’s bad for everyone, obviously, but I think Putin thought this was going to go off uncontested, and now he’s stuck in a three year war, not three days.

Trump’s focus is —well, first, self-aggrandizement, lmao, he’s in it to see his name in the papers— but domestically (and I’m putting this mildly, vs what I think is REALLY going on with it), his concern is erasing the deficit. I won’t go into why ( I want to, but this is long enough😝), but at least from 30,000 foot altitude, he’s (allegedly) about making America rich. So he’s approaching this like a business, and cutting what he thinks is extraneous spending, which I’m sure includes supporting Ukraine in the war.

But like I said before: supporting Ukraine is CLEARLY the right thing to do. And we’re the ones who can do it the most. So we should. I’m not worried about the money for this one. I don’t believe the bullshit coming from Elon and DOGE, but even if he’s not lying, THIS cause, I would suspend some of that USAID money and divert it. This is about geopolitical world order, American and global safety, this is of the utmost importance.

But Trump wants the war to end for two reasons. Firstly, the glory, lmao. He doesn’t care if Ukraine takes the L, he wants the personal W and to say “I did that.” He doesn’t get that there’s a right and wrong way to end it. You don’t get credit if you make concessions to a terrorist, particularly so many that they come out victorious and Ukraine simply comes out alive. Secondly, a huge part of the reason gas prices have been high is because Russia has been sanctioned and boycotted as a source of oil, worldwide, causing a deliberate shortage of the usual supply, and usual supply and demand laws apply. By ending the war, I’d imagine those sanctions would lift, global oil supply is restored to full bars, and prices should lower…. and Trump wants credit for that too, even though this is more of a global thing than America-specific. Don’t believe the hype, we have PLENTY of oil, but the stock market is trading futures on WORLD supply, not ours in particular. We’ve actually had lower gas prices than almost anywhere. I remember when it was like $4/gallon here, I looked up UK prices, did the translations for gallons to liters, and dollars to pounds, and they were paying like EIGHT DOLLARS per gallon.

But anyway Trump wants credit, Trump wants his name on things, Trump wants to be remembered positively, after behaving egregiously after he lost the 2020 election and, in my opinion, forever sullied his name as a politician and cemented him in my mind as a traitor to America.

So he wanted to get re-elected primarily to get himself out of his own self-inflicted legal troubles, but secondarily — well, secondarily, “revenge”, lmfao—, but (SAT word incoming) TERTIARILY (😎😜) to do radical things that he hopes will get his name in the history books as more than some buffoon billionaire TV celebrity who somehow fell ass backwards into the White House, brought back this American air of…I don’t know…meanness (?), fumbled Covid, lost the election, lied about it, riled his supporters up to storm the Capitol and assault Capitol Police, after running their whole shit on “law & order” and “back the blue”, at least when it comes to violently arresting people of color, and he got that one poor young woman killed, because she’s all gassed up on his lies, thinking she’s doing some 1776 shit and saving the country, breaking windows and trying to climb through them, when there was no foul play to be fought against in the first place, that was all made up out of whole cloth.

But here’s the deal, all the aforementioned stuff said in GREAT detail😝…. Trump wants this to end. At worst, he has some weird ties to Putin or Russia, or Putin has him blackmailed. At best, he just wants this done quickly and he doesn’t really care about the outcome, he just wants it over, “not his pig, not his farm.”

I think he realizes the quick play (or forced play, if you take the more conspiracy-laden route) is to roll over and let Russia take what they want out of what they already have, don’t fight for NATO inclusion of Ukraine, and the American financial commitment, his TRUE concern, is over, and it’s just tough bananas for Ukraine.

Thats the play he wants to make…. but he has to sell it to the American people, who many of us, including you, it sounds like, don’t see Ukraine or Zelenskyy as the bad guys. I think this was Trump’s ploy to try to get Americans to turn on Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian cause, frame them as ingrates (that boiled my blood, Zelenskyy has profusely thanked America before, in Congress), and then Trump will turn around and be like “hey, we tried to work something out, but this Zelenskyy guy has a piss poor attitude and sank the whole negotiating process, so he has no one to blame but himself. Have at him, Putin, we’re stepping off.”

And his hope is that the MAGA faithful and generally uninformed people will, probably not even watch the news clips, but just overhear from some idiot at work that Zelenskyy is an ungrateful dickhead and will adopt that as their own opinion🤦‍♂️ People are THAT simple, sadly😞

This was a planned ambush and was never done in good faith. The damage Trump is doing to this country with his foreign policy is going to take decades to fix if it can be fixed at all. He's a leader trying to be a symbol for his people and give them hope! He does that because he wants to show solidarity with his soldiers! JD Vance was spewing Russian propaganda almost word for word and they were just yelling at him the whole meeting and any time he tried to respond to their questions or attacks they just got louder and yelled louder than him. Last of all Trump threw another one of his twitter tantrums having the gall to say Zelensky was disrespectful when they treated him like shit the moment he arrived! It's like watching a middle school bully run the country!

I've heard every President America has had talking about how much we love our vets, but nothing ever seems to happen except words! At least Zelensky really stands with his people and men! At this point I wish Ukraine would annex America. If we think Trump is fit for office, I think we've proven we're not responsible enough to rule ourselves.

Trumps foreign policy decisions are going to crash the economy. We'll be lucky if we stay out of another great depression! The tariffs alone are going to fuck us! Europe doesn't trust us anymore neither does south Korea or China! Kremlin state TV are fucking giddy right now about what Trump is doing!

France wants to start a separate sphere and while the initial talks didn't decide to, they are still talking and having more meetings. Building a new military alliance doesn't happen in one meeting. Do you have any idea how much we import from Europe? Now they don't like us anymore and we're competing with China for their trade attention now! By the end of trumps term IF he doesn't pull a coup, we might not even be a super anymore!

Worse still, if we pull out of NATO, we're 100% fucked. People don't realize this, but NATO isn't a military alliance. NATO is a multi-nation trade alliance that has a defensive pact built in because turns out when you trade with somebody it's bad for both of your economies when one of you gets invaded!

The lack of critical thinking these days is astounding in all the wrong ways! We have Google people! Half the shit Trump is saying can be proven a lie with a few keystrokes! Half the time the numbers he's giving are outright lies! He's given two DIFFERENT numbers for how much aid we've given Ukraine both are well above the real number and contradict themselves! Trump lies so much he can't even keep them straight!

People hear that millions are spent of trans propaganda and foreign country gender change surgeries, and they get pissed AS THEY SHOULD, but this is a smokescreen! Yes, US aid did some stupid shit and spent money on stuff I don't approve of, but do you know what else US aid does?

They perform free operations and medical treatment in Africa. They deliver food and water for disaster relief and yes, they buy condoms to help stop the spread of STDs in places we're they are common like Sudan! Also, the Gaza condom thing was a lie even Elon admitted it claiming it was a mistake.

Now I understand a lot of people are angry about how much money we spend on supporting foreign countries but there is a very good reason for this people don't understand. US Aids programs aren't done out of benevolence it's about soft power. Doing things like this are how we win over people in foreign countries, so they give us their resources and don't cause too much trouble!

If we stop producing soft power the people selling us our resources like many countries in the middle east such as Saudiarabia will tell us to fuck off and then the Russians and Chinese will move in give them aid instead and then suddenly all our buddies don't want to be our buddies anymore and now they've flipped to trading with our enemies!

As bad as the economy is we are FAR better off in our standards of living because of our soft power. It's pretty fucking simple. Aid = Friends, Friends = Trade and trade = wealth. You think the economy is bad now? Wait until the Tariffs start flying! Tariffs are a tax by the government on the import of good from a foreign government, but do you know what does?

Since their goods are going to be tariffed, Europe won't make as much selling their goods in America so what would commons sense tell them to do? Raise prices to re-coup the loss! Trumps tariffs are making us foot the bill for his actions and his ambitions by weaponizing our economy to give global trade a fucking stroke!

Every single Item we import is going to skyrocket in price! Do you like banana's? Guess what you'll be needing to get your fix from cheap American candy now to be cost effective. Do you like Avocados? Kiss those goodbye they're going to be twenty bucks each by the end of this at least even in the better off states! Why do you think the US stock market had a fucking heart attack the day Trump attempted to place tariffs the first time?

All of you who voted for trump because you couldn't afford groceries and wanted that to change, I've got news for you. Prepare to get hungrier we import a shit ton of food, and 25% tariffs will probably increase cost for the consumer by 25% so Europe can make back the money they pay for the tariff.

This is why I don't believe everyone should have an automatic right to vote. in my opinion you should have to earn the right to vote with at least 2 weeks of community service over the course of the year. Working at the soup kitchen cleaning highway trash etc. Basically, think citizen service from the Starship Troopers books but the standards for earning your right to vote are more reasonable and accessible.

Obviously, there will have to be certain arrangements made for some people like those who are crippled or disabled but those are things that can be addressed in other ways. No. Trump is trying to work out a deal to save Zelenskyy's country. And Zelenskyy comes in whining and being disrespectful. His attitude is that he was wronged when Putin invaded his country, so he shouldn't have to compromise at all. First of all presidents should show a high level of diplomacy and etiquette especially in front of cameras, and especially if you are the president of the United States of America. And not act like he wants, as if he was at home arguing with his wife or some business colleague in the back office. This was the oval office.

Vance seems to have forgotten about the hardship of reality because now he is an attorney, and just like most attorneys he is just words talking as if he was reading from the bible. And Zelensky told him. He told him, "What do you mean?" with diplomacy.

They have tried so many times with diplomacy during the war to no avail, and I'm sure that there was diplomacy before the war started and still the war started. But Vance says that we should solve this with diplomacy!

No wonder there is such a back log of court cases all around the world. It is not because there are a lot of cases that there is a huge court backlog, its because attorneys like Vance! They don't care if there is a back log. Time is not a problem for them. They argue over nothing for ages. They are more useless then useful.
