Why do some people have this silly rule?

Yeah, I don't see a lot of difference between an 18 year old and a 21 year old. They are legal adults here in the USA at 18. But legality aside the reason I wouldn't want to get involved with anyone under about 25 at the extreme lower limit is that the maturity and experience differences would probably make it awkward.

I've actually dated a 25, 27, and 28 year old while I'm in my 50's. They chased me, I did not pursue them. Nice, but like I said, hard to really connect. Sex is great. For a short time. Then that fades and you're left just staring at each other in silence. Or that's what it feels like.

It may work for some people. I just think the probability is not great. If you both just want the experience and you go into it with the knowledge it probably won't last, it can be a fun and interesting experience.

For one, at least in our state 21 is considered to be a legal consenting adult that if you wanted to you could take across state lines and into a bar.

Otherwise it could be contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

No one is worth going to jail for.

A 16 year old pregnant girl is an adult until she has her baby, then she is a minor again.

We are kept up with all of the laws especially as they have to do with EMS.
Now that child trafficking has become so prevalent even more so.
It is brought up in trainings, quarterly drills with our med control doctors.
Every state has different laws on being the age of minority vs an adult.

There's no much diff. other than the fact that the 21 year old can legally drink now. But yeah, why is it such a problem between the three ages. You should have a problem when it comes to pedo's, ya know, people under the age of consent
