Why are people actually falling for the LIE that Zelensky caused the current war between Russia and Ukraine?

Which includes the current US president, who has said as much. The guy is a complete buffoon, sure, but others have said this too.

Do people really A) have such short memories, and B) so easily fall for something that is so clearly not true? Back in 2022 everyone seemed to be in agreement on this, because we all knew that Putin was clearly the aggressor and Ukraine the victim. Now, just a few years later and with the war still raging, people are now blaming the victim. What happened? Why are people so incredibly gullible? Why are there so many apologists for Putin in the West?

That's not what they're saying at all, and it's shameful and treasonous when people spread these lies.

What they are saying is, Zelenskyy wants to win the war using America's money and military power at the cost of thousands or millions of Ukrainian and American lives, rather than negotiate a peaceful ending, which we can do through keeping diplomatic relationships open with Russia.

We all saw this with our own eyes, but it's being falsely characterized as something else by the leftists in order to try to make the president look bad. We're not buying this childish hatred anymore.

Negotiating in the interests of world peace does not mean the president is "friends" with Putin or serving as his lapdog; it's what statesmen do. It's what Churchill did in World War II, and he's remembered as one of the world's greatest leaders because of it.

If Zelenskyy burns all bridges with America and Russia as he was proposing to do, then he has no way of winning an outright war (as we've seen) and the U. S. is going to step back to save American lives. We have no business being in that war if Zelenskyy won't cooperate and act reasonably. The Ukrainian lives lost will be Zelenskyy's responsibility only.
